What you can look forward to as Commodity Buyer:

• Identify and develop strategic supply sources for Stamping commodities.

• Manage relationships with regional/ global suppliers, resolve supplier issues, and optimize suppliers' performance. Work with suppliers to develop continuous improvement plans and metrics to monitor performance.

• Execute comprehensive RFQ process and source parts promptly. Gather and analyze supplier quotes and make recommendations for supplier selection. Follow the sourcing process for supplier selection and make sourcing recommendations to the purchasing and business unit management.

• Responsible for commercial negotiations with suppliers, including piece price, tooling, payment terms, savings, and others. Negotiate year-over-year savings and commercial contracts.

• Develop and execute global commodity strategies for the assigned commodities. Lead part-family matched team meetings and develop part-family strategies for assigned commodities.

• Continuously enhance purchasing expertise and knowledge of the local and global market trends.

Your Profile as Commodity Buyer:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Economics, or related field

• 3-5 years of relevant experience in a professional purchasing capacity (i.e., technical/commodity purchasing, purchasing project management, purchasing management, etc.)

• Experience in the Automotive industry, experience with metal components is preferred

• Experience with SAP or another ERP system

• High proficiency with MS Excel and PowerPoint

• Assertiveness and strong communication skills in handling and negotiating with the suppliers, as well as interpersonal and cross-cultural expertise

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
