About the Team: The Machining team at ZF Transmissions in Gray Court, SC, is a skilled group of 25 professionals dedicated to producing high-quality transmissions for passenger and commercial vehicles. As part of the largest manufacturing site in North America, with nearly 2,000 employees plant-wide, this team plays a vital role in our production process. What you can look forward to as a Manufacturing Engineer:

• Lead complex projects to troubleshoot and solve errors/problems on production equipment.

• Analyze and plan work force utilization, space requirements, workflow, and designs layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency.

• Confers with manufacturing engineers and design staff concerning product design and tooling to ensure efficient production methods.

• Validates the development of product specifications for the purchase of equipment, materials, tooling, fixturing or parts, according to specifications and quality standards.

• Consult the engineering team about potential suppliers for production equipment, tooling and fixturing and contributes to the final technical choice.

• Evaluate and assist in the evolution of the equipment and performs acceptance evaluation according to specification.

• Validate production times, staffing requirements and related costs of production equipment to provide information for management decisions.

• Oversees projects for existing production and new programs using APQP and Lean principles to meet timing and budget as well as performance.

Your profile as a Manufacturing Engineer:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering and 1+ years of engineering experience and leading technical projects.

• Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within Engineering.

• Experience with customer communication systems.

• Experience with engineering change systems.

• Knowledge of company products and services acquired through experience and training.

• Understanding of engineering techniques, principles, and procedures of their particular field to the completion of difficult assignments.
