Job description

What you can look forward to as a Cost Engineer (f/m/d):

  • Generation of Best-Practice-Product Cost Calculations considering a Total Cost approach.
  • Continuous development of a technology-specific cost structure analysis throughout the entire product lifecycle.
  • Direct responsibility for the demonstration and negotiation of Cost structures, based on Best Practice Cost calculations, with suppliers and customers.
  • Support with technological knowledge & on-site validations.
  • Support Target Costing based on best practice analysis followed by support Target Cost Management and reporting of target achievement.
  • Identification of measures for optimization of Cost structures.
  • Continuous development of group wide Cost Engineering Reference-processes.
  • Continuous development of tools in Cost Engineering.
  • Support Benchmarking (commercial evaluation) and conduct tear down workshops.

Your profile as a Cost Engineer (f/m/d):

  • Degree in engineering (Electronics, Electromechanics) or related technical discipline.
  • 3–6 years’ experience in cost engineering, manufacturing engineering, or process optimization—ideally within the automotive industry.
  • Deep understanding of manufacturing technologies and production cost structures.
  • Experience with should-cost modeling, cost benchmarking, and technology scouting.
  • Proficient in data analysis tools (Excel, Power BI).
  • Ability to identify cost levers and contribute to method development and cost engineering standards.
  • Familiar with product lifecycle costing and value engineering strategies.
  • Analytical, innovative, and methodical mindset with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communicator and collaborator across global, cross-functional teams.
  • Business fluent in English, and at least communicative knowledge of Polish.
