About the Team:
We are an R&D team for passenger car chassis products, with locations in Yokohama and Hiroshima, working closely with Japanese OEMs. Our core business includes vehicle suspension dampers, which have earned a strong reputation in the market and continue to drive global business growth. As a Project Manager, you will play a key role in steering cross-functional development activities, ensuring alignment between engineering, customers, and global stakeholders. What you can look forward to as Project Manager:
- Manage complex cross-functional projects, ensuring delivery on scope, time, budget, and quality targets
- Lead interdisciplinary project teams and drive team effectiveness and development
- Act as the central interface between internal stakeholders, customers, suppliers, and partners
- Develop and maintain project plans aligned with strategic goals and ensure cross-departmental coordination
- Manage risks, resolve issues, and implement baseline and change management processes
- Oversee project KPIs (e.g., profitability, expenditures, delivery performance) and ensure target achievement
- Prepare and lead project meetings, gate reviews, and decision-making processes
- Ensure effective stakeholder communication, reporting, and escalation to senior management when required
Your Profile as Project Manager:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or related field
- Proven experience in project/program management in an international environment
- Strong knowledge of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile) and project planning tools
- Solid business, financial, IT, and communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to lead, influence, and motivate teams without direct authority
- Strong customer focus with ability to build trust and manage expectations at senior levels
- Experience in risk management, stakeholder management, and change management
- Intercultural experience and strong English communication skills (Japanese is a plus)
