LISTING OF JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Investigates plant and customer rejects for root cause and corrective action. Investigation may include disassembly of axle modules to the component level.

• Investigates assembly/part failures to determine if the failure is due to assembly, supplier or customer induced. Suggests corrective action measures.

• Performs failure analysis investigations for internal and customer related issues and reports results to Manufacturing Quality Department.

• Performs daily residual torque verifications for Front and Rear Axle assemblies.

• Make scrap/reuse decisions of torn down assemblies.

• Enter daily scrap into the scrap data base.

• Responsible for performing assembly equipment and tooling calibration.

• Must be able to work in Microsoft Office to include Word and Excel

• Other duties as assigned.

• REQUIREMENTS: (Experience / Education / Skills / Training

• Please be specific)

• Must meet minimum qualifications for Quality Technician as outlined in current labor agreement

• Demonstrate ability to use and read close tolerance instruments.

• Proficient in use of problem solving tools such as, 5-Why and 8D

• Prefer 2 years of quality systems experience in high volume, JIT, Lean manufacturing environment
