Assoc. Manager, Platform Support Engineering

• Bachelor’s degree in information systems, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or equivalent experience

• 8-10 years of experience administering BI platforms

• BI Platform Administration

• Administer and maintain BI tools (e.g., Power BI, DOMO)

• Manage user access, permissions, roles, and security policies

• Monitor system health, performance, and availability

• Troubleshoot BI platform issues and coordinate vendor support when needed

• Data Governance & Security

• Enforce data governance standards and best practices

• Implement row-level security and data access controls

• Ensure compliance with internal data policies and regulatory requirements

• Performance & Optimization

• Optimize dashboards, reports, and data models for performance and scalability

• Monitor query performance and usage metrics

• Identify opportunities to improve reliability, efficiency, and user experience

• Optimize Power BI datasets, data models, and DAX for performance and scalability

• Analyze usage metrics to identify optimization and capacity planning needs

• Release & Environment Management

• Manage BI environments (dev/test/prod)

• Support deployments, upgrades, and patches

• Maintain documentation for BI configurations and processes

• User Support & Enablement

• Provide technical support to BI developers and business users

• Assist with onboarding, training, and best practices

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or equivalent experience
• 8-10 years of experience administering BI platforms
• Strong knowledge of at least one major BI tool (Power BI, DOMO)
• Experience with SQL and relational data models
• Understanding of data warehousing concepts and analytics workflows
• Experience managing user access, security, and governance in BI tools
• Solid understanding of DAX, Power Query (M), and semantic data models
• Preferred Requirements
• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP)
• Familiarity with CI/CD or release management for BI solutions
• Experience supporting large-scale or enterprise BI environments
• Scripting experience (Python, PowerShell, or similar)
• Experience with Power BI Premium or Fabric capacities
• Knowledge of Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) and security groups
• Experience with monitoring tools and Power BI REST APIs
