We are seeking a people and operations-minded leader to own the Build Team Capability pillar for Pizza Hut’s Global Training Center of Excellence. This role oversees the creation of blended learning solutions for 350k Team Members around the world.
This role leads a team that:
- Supports restaurant teams, ensuring that they are capable and confident as they step into their roles as cooks, customer service representatives, or drivers.
- Creates training for new product offerings, partnering with ops to ensure the approach will yield winning results
- Provides certification training for Pizza Hut Express licensees and units around the country
This role creates the vision and strategy for the Build Team Capability pillar, ensuring training solutions are engaging, inspiring, easy to execute, and measurable. This role helps the broader training team create training experiences that fuel brand love, pizza passion, and flawless ops execution.
Required Qualifications:
- Education: 8+ years of experience in Learning & Development, Instructional Design, Field HR, Training.
Required:
- You will be required to attend the Plano, TX office 3 days a week on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
- Strong knowledge of Instructional Design theory.
- Kirkpatrick levels of evaluation, best practices in the field of learning, creating, supporting, and sustaining blended learning experiences.
- Proven track record of operating independently, demonstrating creativity, strong attention to detail, and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Comfortable working in virtually connected, fast-paced, and ambiguous environments.
- Ability to think critically, analytically, and creatively.
- Experience creating blended training programs.
- Ability to naturally incorporate a message of inclusion and belonging into work, life, and programs.
- Demonstrates a growth-mindset and sense of curiosity.
- Ability to make deep connections to influence and inspire partnerships.
- Excellent facilitation, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Strong collaborator.
- Ability to involve and influence key stakeholders.
Preferred:
- Restaurant industry/operations or ops support experience.
- Experience working with Franchisees.
Bachelor’s degree preferred (Examples: Learning & Development, ISD, English, Comms, I/O Psychology, Education, or related field and/or certifications)
Salary Range: $142,500 to $150,840 annually + bonus eligibility. This is the expected salary range for this position. Ultimately, in determining pay, we'll consider the successful candidate’s location, experience, and other job-related factors.
Lead Strategy and Program Management for “Build Team Capability” pillar- 35%
- Lead the Build Team Capability pillar strategy across 19K restaurants, aligning diverse business needs with a unified approach.
- Leverage strategic thinking skills to establish clear priorities and direction.
- Support train-the-trainer learning experiences to get key programs to franchise organizations and global training leaders.
- Manage and evolve existing blended learning programs.
- Market and creatively communicate to ensure proper use and adoption of programs and tools.
- Design experiences that will be easily adopted across the globe
- Develop and track annual budget and operating plans to create, maintain, and sustain training programs
Evolve Front-Line Learning – 20%
- Research industry approach to training and ensure Pizza Hut offers modern, relevant learning experiences that promote belonging, growth, and empowerment for learners
- Stay informed of the latest leadership development trends; adapt and share learnings to enhance current and future programs
- Consult with and be a thought-partner to other pillar leads on the Global Training team, helping evolve global training experiences for all roles
- Partner cross-functionally with Operations, Development, and People and Culture teams
- Influence franchise partners to adopt, champion, measure, and sustain training programs
Lead the Build Team Capability team – 30%
- Inspire, mentor, coach, learn from, and manage team of 3 trainers/instructional designers
- Support team to create and manage project plans
- Build strong relationships to create an internal and external team to bring experiences to life.
- Teach others Instructional Design theory and practice.
- Fosters a culture of innovation and continuous improvement across the team, encouraging new ideas, experimentation, and learning.
Analyze and Measure Results – 15%
- Conduct needs, audience, and task analysis to identify learning objectives.
- Translate business goals and audience insights into clear learning objectives using adult-learning principles.
- Partner with data analyst to identify and measure business outcomes and leverage performance and training data to provide actionable insights that improve field execution.
- Learn continuously and adjust approach based on business outcomes and needs.
