About the Role

You will ensure every Grok response is elegantly written—concise yet rich, distinctive yet never overwrought.

Responsibilities

  • Rank and rewrite outputs for stylistic excellence, voice consistency, and aesthetic impact.

  • Curate training data from the highest-quality writing across literature, essays, technical exposition, and historical texts.

  • Eliminate clichés, corporate-speak, verbosity, and low-status signaling.

  • Teach the model when brevity is elegance and when controlled extravagance is warranted.

Required Qualifications

  • Professional academic editing or copywriting experience.

  • Exquisite aesthetic judgment and immediate recognition of “cheap” vs. “expensive” prose.

  • Extremely broad and deep reading in literature, philosophy, science writing, and classics.

  • Proficiency in reviewing and critiquing written materials, with strong skills in content organization, narrative enhancement, and emulating various styles and voices.

  • Ruthless self-editing instincts and strong ability to utilize reference materials, style guides, and resources for accurate, standard-adherent annotations.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Published literary fiction, essays, or criticism.

Compensation

$40/hour - $70/hour

The posted pay range is intended for U.S.-based candidates and depends on factors including relevant experience, skills, education, geographic location, and qualifications. For international candidates, our recruiting team can provide an estimated pay range for your location.
