Base Salary Range: $200,000 - $297,000 + equity

At X, our Next team is the creative engine behind our platform, working with advertisers to create bold, impactful campaigns that connect with audiences at the right moments. Using insights from X’s data and cutting-edge tech like AI, the Next team helps advertisers grow their businesses while driving creativity and revenue for X.

As the Director of Creative & Brand Strategy, you’ll lead the Next team across the Americas, inspiring a talented group of creatives, strategists, and tech experts. You’ll work closely with teams across X and different regions to spark big ideas, share knowledge, and create campaigns that deliver real results for advertisers.

What success looks like:

  • Set a clear vision: Guide the Next team to create innovative campaigns, staying ahead of marketing trends and using X’s platform to help advertisers shine.

  • Use tech to innovate: With expertise in tools DIY tech like AI, you’ll help your team create game-changing campaigns that stand out.

  • Lead with heart: Inspire your team with warmth and confidence, creating a collaborative space where bold ideas grow, and learning from mistakes is encouraged.

  • Drive business growth: Build creative strategies that help advertisers succeed and bring in revenue for X.

  • Work together: Partner with sales, marketing, and other teams across the Americas and beyond to share ideas and maximize impact.

  • Stay open-minded: Embrace diverse perspectives to create campaigns that connect with people everywhere.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and grow the Next team, building a creative, collaborative, and tech-savvy culture.

  • Work with sales and marketing leaders to empower advertisers with big, effective ideas.

  • Use X’s data and new tech, like AI, to create standout campaigns.

  • Streamline processes to help your team work smarter and deliver at scale.

  • Share insights and ideas across regions to keep everyone aligned.

  • Listen, decide, and communicate: gather input, set a clear path, and align with X’s goals to drive growth.

  • Measure success by the creativity, impact, and revenue from your team’s campaigns.

Qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent experience

  • 12+ years in marketing, tech, advertising, with experience at a brand, or agency.

  • Proven ability to lead and inspire teams with empathy and confidence.

  • Sharp business sense with a history of growing businesses through creative solutions.

  • Strong knowledge of tech platforms, especially X, as both a user and marketer.

  • Familiarity with cutting-edge tech, including AI, and a passion for using it creatively.

  • Open-minded, with a broad perspective to create inclusive campaigns.

  • Thrives in a fast-moving environment and can handle challenges with ease.

  • Great at storytelling, communicating and presenting to large groups.
