What You’ll Do:

  • You will cover the SMB (Small and Medium Business) vertical

  • Lead your team to deliver against a specified and defined quarterly revenue quota for Japan

  • Not only does the manager oversee team members, but they are also expected to actively drive customer engagement through direct interactions, speaking opportunities at events, and other marketing initiatives. Leading by example is a core principle of leadership at X.

  • Own, build, develop, and manage the sales strategies to drive business growth

  • Building & refining SMB sales strategy, including sales channel, marketing, and product strategy. Deep expertise in customer engagement models is required.

  • Develop and maintain sales forecast through regular assessment of the business, drive weekly sales meetings to unblock revenue, track initiatives and potential opportunities

  • Achieve revenue targets through effective bottom-up planning, defining sales goals, analyzing data on past performance, and projecting future performance in a dynamic business environment

  • Work with cross-functional teams to build cohesive partnerships with all the internal stakeholders, including product specialists, sales operations, revenue finance, policy, legal, brand strategists, research, measurement, and marketing

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of proven experience in sales, delivering revenue, and leading sales teams in ad sales, ad tech, or other advertising-related industries.

  • A data-driven leader with the ability to lead teams against sales quotas in large and/or mid-market clients

  • Experience in process management, operations management, and understanding how to grow and scale businesses

  • Deep interest in the evolution of advertising technologies, both legacy and emerging, and in staying up-to-date with industry trends

  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills

  • Excellent presentation skills and a demonstrated track record of leading and inspiring others

  • Proven ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and manage priorities effectively

  • Demonstrated teamwork and interpersonal skills in working with colleagues from diverse cultural and professional backgrounds

  • Ability to perform under pressure and manage stressful situations and tight deadlines

  • Proficiency in both Japanese and English is required

  • Bachelor’s degree
