SEO Content Lead
We’re hiring for a global senior SEO Content Lead to come and oversee the SEO Blog Content team at Wise.
This team is responsible for producing SEO optimised blog content to help get Wise in front of new audiences and drive customer growth. This is a unique opportunity to manage the channel and work closely with 40+ content specialists who speak 25+ languages. This role requires someone with hands-on experience in global SEO strategy and scaling operations for a large content site or editorial function.
While each content specialist is responsible for the production and output in their own market, this role will oversee the commercial performance of the channel and surface even more impactful opportunities for one of the best performing teams at Wise.
Our vision is to ensure we have a Wise blog in every market where our product is available. Our mission is to produce content that educates readers to help make international finance and money management simpler.
Your mission

Oversee and be accountable for the performance and commercials of the SEO Content team at Wise
-
Responsible for global hiring decisions for every region (with support from your regional content managers)

Lead, coach and mentor a team of experienced content managers who each have their own team of content specialists

Liaise with other teams in the wider SEO org at Wise to identify opportunities for existing language specialists to drive further impact beyond the blog

Ensure regional channel plans + investment are focused on the most high impact opportunities

Ensure content managers and specialists have correct measurement/dashboards and processes in place for effective planning and impactful retros

Work with other SEO and Product teams at Wise to grow the impact of the Wise blog and Wise SEO more broadly
The ideal person for this role:

You have solid experience working in an SEO agency or as an in-house SEO Manager with hands-on experience implementing strategy (content, technical or off-page) to grow users to a large content site

You are a highly experienced lead with proven track record of leading and developing others

You have excellent stakeholder management skills at every level - from working directly with specialists in the team to liaising with senior management on broader challenges

You’re able to combine search insights with commercial data to help surface big problems and opportunities for your teams to solve

You’ve managed hiring and budget decisions

You are super organised and can put processes in place to get your teams working in the most efficient way

Confident user of search tools (Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Ahrefs) as well as data vis tools such as Looker
