We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Business Development Manager to join our Wise Platform Payouts team in Europe. In this role, you will help deliver world-class API payment solutions to some of the largest enterprises and digital platforms globally—powered by Wise’s cutting-edge infrastructure.
Wise Platform has successfully launched partnerships worldwide with industry leaders such as Morgan Stanley, Google, Nu Bank, Ramp, Deel, and Mandiri, connecting and powering 80+ global banks and digital platforms through our technology stack.
We are looking for an experienced business development expert with a proven track record of working with large businesses and enterprises in EMEA and globally to take Wise Platform partnerships to the next level. The payouts vertical encompasses businesses across areas such as freelance platforms, travel and royalties, among others.
A bit about the role:
This role is based in our London office. You will work closely with our EMEA Platform Payouts team and the Global Wise Platform teams across our offices worldwide. Additionally, you will work with various functions, including product management, compliance and legal, implementation, and engineering.
As a member of our commercial team in London and the digital platform vertical team globally, you will own opportunities with a number of verticals mentioned before. You will drive initiatives to expand Wise Platform’s payout capabilities and contribute to the growth of Wise’s infrastructure footprint in Europe.
Your mission:
-
Pipeline Management
Work with the Wise Platform team to build, maintain and close a strong pipeline of partnerships across our target verticals.
Actively recognise new target verticals and opportunities independently, based on information gathered from existing partner data and conversations with prospects. -
Analysis/Qualification
Demonstrate judgement to qualify and scope/size the opportunities, supported in a data-driven way, whilst identifying where the highest return on investment comes from and deciding how and where to spend your time. -
Technical
Ability to pick up different technical solutions and tools along the way. For example the Wise API offering and our CRM, Salesforce.
This also includes knowledge needed to understand the Wise product offering and solutions. -
Stakeholder Management
Manage simultaneous conversations with an array of stakeholders, internal and external, across short, medium and longer sales cycle deals. Invest and nurture these relationships to influence and create long term value for all parties. -
Product
Collaborate closely with our product teams to share valuable feedback (based on your conversations with prospects) to guide product roadmap and improve end customer experience. -
You have at least 2 years of relevant experience in sales roles. Ideally selling integrated payment solutions in the fintech sector.
-
You are familiar with the regulatory landscape in Europe and understand how international payments work today.
-
You’re as comfortable helping a partner solution the best way to use Wise Platform as you are discussing commercial and legal terms.
-
You can come up with a plan, execute it whilst not being afraid to iterate as you learn...to put it simply, you get things done!
-
You love a good challenge, and have the ambition and drive to manage multiple deals in a high-pressure, fast moving environment.
-
You are customer-focused. At Wise, they always come first, so you need to be enthusiastic about helping our customers and delivering on our mission.
