Executive Director, Global Marketing & Communications (Designit)

Reports to: CEO (with close partnership across the global leadership team)

Team: Marketing, Communications & Analyst Relations

Role Intent & Fitment

This role is designed for a senior marketing leader who will own and deliver Designit’s marketing, brand, communications, and analyst relations agenda.

The focus is on clear accountability, strong execution, and strategic influence, with ownership across brand narrative, demand generation, communications, and analyst engagement. The role requires close collaboration with business, sales, and leadership stakeholders to translate business priorities into measurable marketing outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Strategy, Positioning & Growth

  • Own the global marketing strategy and operating plan aligned to Designit’s growth agenda.

  • Define and evolve Designit’s category narrative across experience design, co‑innovation, and design‑led transformation; ensure message consistency across all regions and channels.

  • Partner with Sales and Client Partners to drive integrated demand generation and ABM with measurable pipeline influence and velocity.

Brand, Communications & Content

  • Steward the global brand (identity, governance) and activate it across paid/owned/earned channels.

  • Lead integrated, multi‑channel campaigns; oversee thought leadership, case studies, video, social, and web content that resonates with C‑suite buyers.

  • Oversee corporate communications, media relations, and executive visibility; ensure effective internal communications.

Analyst Relations (AR)

  • Own AR strategy and relationships for Designit; brief, influence, and respond to leading analyst firms to strengthen market perception and coverage.

  • Bring analyst insight into executive decision‑making and go‑to‑market plans.

Demand, Digital & Mar Tech

  • Lead full‑funnel demand programs (inbound, outbound, ABM) with KPI rigor (MQL/SQL quality, conversion, CAC efficiency).

  • Govern the Mar Tech stack (CRM/MA/ABM) and performance analytics to demonstrate ROI; champion experimentation and ongoing optimization.

Thought Leadership & Spokespersonship

  • Serve as a senior spokesperson with clients, media, and analysts; amplify Designit’s executive thought leadership.

  • Coach leaders and SMEs to bring Designit’s POV to market consistently and credibly.

Ecosystem, Events & Partnerships

  • Orchestrate strategic events and partnership co‑marketing to drive awareness, credibility, and qualified demand.

  • Ensure end‑to‑end excellence (pre/during/post) with clear targets, lead capture, and follow‑through.

Team Leadership & Operating Model

  • Collaborate cross-functionally across a high‑performing, globally distributed team; set clear priorities, decision rights, and success metrics.

  • Manage agencies and partners as extensions of the leadership team; foster tight collaboration with regional, industry, and corporate counterparts.

Qualifications

  • 12–15+ years in integrated B2B marketing within design/consulting/technology services; success leading global teams and delivering measurable growth outcomes.

  • Mastery across brand, content, digital, demand/ABM, PR/AR, and events; proven integrated program orchestration and executive‑level narrative building.

  • Strong influence skills and stakeholder management across a globally distributed, culturally diverse, matrixed environment.

  • Hands‑on familiarity with CRM/MA/ABM platforms (e.g., Salesforce, Hub Spot, Terminus/6sense/Demandbase or similar) and performance measurement.

  • Skilled communicator and presenter; confident with C‑suite, analysts, and media.

  • Design‑literate and comfortable articulating experience innovation and design‑led transformation.

Practical Details

  • Travel: As required for leadership meetings, key events, and analyst engagements.
