Job Description

Role Summary

The Senior Service Now Architect will lead the architecture and design of a large-scale Service Now re-implementation, ensuring alignment to Service Now OOTB best practices, CSDM, and long-term platform sustainability. The role focuses on minimizing customisations, governing integrations, and guiding delivery teams in a regulated enterprise environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the end-to-end Service Now architecture across ITSM, ITOM, CMDB/CSDM, Catalog, Knowledge, and Integrations
  • Drive CSDM-aligned CMDB design, Discovery strategy, data quality, and governance
  • Unwind historic customisations and re‑implement required behaviour using OOTB configuration, Flow Designer, and Automation Engine
  • Architect integrations using Integration Hub spokes, Service Graph Connectors, and standard APIs
  • Chair or support Design Authority forums and approve deviations from OOTB and CSDM standards
  • Provide architectural guidance across environments, release governance, and testing to prevent regression

Experience & Skills

  • Overall IT experience with hands-on years in Service Now architecture or lead roles
  • Proven delivery of Service Now greenfield or re‑implementation programmes
  • Deep hands-on expertise in ITSM, ITOM (Discovery, Service Mapping), CMDB, and CSDM
  • Strong experience with Integration Hub, Flow Designer, and platform governance

Certifications (Preferred)

  • Service Now Certified System Administrator (CSA)
  • Service Now Implementation Specialist (ITSM / ITOM / CMDB)
  • ITIL v4 Foundation
