Job Description

Responsibilities:

• Provide advanced level technical support for designing, maintaining, and optimizing global network security systems.

• Create and enforce global network security standards, guidelines, and procedures.

• Implement secure network architectures and solutions. Perform technology and operational risk assessments, identifying control gaps and risky or problematic configurations.

• Work with stakeholders to drive remediation of security issues.

• Promote security awareness and advise on secure operational practices across IT and the organization.

Experience/Skills Required:

Must have proficiencies:

• Expert - securing & managing Palo Alto Firewalls & Prisma Access

• Expert - network security standards, methodologies, and best practices

• Expert - knowledge of network-based vulnerabilities, threats, and risks

• Forescout network access control

• Understanding of networking protocols and services

• Advanced knowledge of network access control (NAC) solutions and methodologies

• Hands-on experience in network security operations and design

Nice to have proficiencies:

• Web Application Firewall (F5 and/or Cloudflare)

• Secure routing & switching

• Scripting, automation & orchestration

• Threat Hunting

• Cisco ISE / RADIUS authentication

• Data center segmentation technologies

• Network authentication methodologies (PSK, certificates, SAML, etc.)

Competencies:

• Must have a security mindset, well versed in general security principles and best practices.

• Ability to communicate in English clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing.

• Professional security certifications are a plus. (CISSP, GIAC, CEH, etc.)

• Ability to work within a team and with limited direction and guidance.

• Strong analytical, organizational, troubleshooting and time management skills.

• Effective troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
