Role: Practitioner Specialist – Engineering
Location: San Jose, US

Job Description:

We are seeking a hands-on Practitioner specialist to manage and help grow engineering footprint working with global account executive. They need have proven track record in engineering-led solutioning, technology transformation, and customer engagement. The ideal candidate will possess deep technical expertise, demonstrated by direct involvement in solution engineering, product lifecycle management, and client-facing delivery.

Hands-On Experience Required:

• 15+ years in the technology industry, with at least 5 years in an engineering practitioner or solution engineering role.

• Demonstrated experience in building and leading solution engineering organizations, including pre-sales and delivery.

• Proven ability to design, modernize, and deliver network management applications, cloud-native platforms, and analytics solutions.

• Hands-on leadership in customer escalations, rapid prototyping, and iterative solution delivery.

• Experience with network service automation, SDN/NFV orchestration, OSS/BSS modernization, and digital transformation.

• Proficiency in presenting complex technical solutions to executive and technical audiences.

• Expertise in at least 2 technology domains such as Service Provider/Mobility, Networking, Cloud, Security, and Collaboration.

Education: Bachelor’s or master’s in computer science, Engineering, or related field.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and participate in technical discussions (L3/L4) with customers, translating functional needs into actionable engineering solutions.

• Shape and drive value propositions for Wipro’s Engineering offerings, leveraging experience in software product engineering, analytics, AI, and IT-OT integration.

• Architect and present cross-industry solution roadmaps, collaborating with global teams to deliver innovative, client-specific solutions.

• Design and write end-to-end RFI/RFP responses, coordinating with internal practices, pre-sales, and engineering teams.

• Build and sustain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor
