ITOM DISCOVERY Job Description:

 Skilled and experienced Service Now ITOM and CMDB Developer.
 Strong background in Service Now platform development and configuration, with a specific focus on IT
Operations Management (ITOM) and Configuration Management Database (CMDB) solutions.
 As a Service Now ITOM and CMDB Developer, will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design,
develop, and implement Service Now applications to support ITOM and CMDB processes within the
organization.

Responsibilities:

 Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications for
Service Now ITOM and CMDB solutions.
 Design, develop, and configure Service Now ITOM and CMDB modules, including Discovery, Service
Mapping, Event Management, and Configuration Management.
 Customize Service Now workflows, business rules, UI policies, and notifications to support ITOM and
CMDB processes and automation.
 Configure and maintain the CMDB data model, ensuring accurate and up-to-date configuration item (CI)
information.
 Integrate Service Now with other ITOM tools and external platforms using APIs and web services.
 Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement ITOM and CMDB best practices,
ensuring alignment with industry standards and ITIL processes.
 Conduct thorough testing of Service Now configurations and customizations to ensure high-quality
deliverables.
 Provide ongoing support and maintenance for Service Now applications, troubleshooting issues and
implementing necessary fixes or enhancements.
 Stay updated with the latest Service Now releases and ITOM/CMDB-specific features, proactively
identifying opportunities for process improvement and system optimization.
 Collaborate with other developers, administrators, and business analysts to deliver integrated solutions
that meet the ITOM and CMDB needs of the organization
 Document technical specifications, user guides, and standard operating procedures for Service Now
applications and configurations.

Qualifications:

 7-10 years of experience as a Service Now Developer, with a focus on ITOM and CMDB.
 Strong expertise in Service Now ITOM and CMDB modules, including Discovery, Service Mapping, Event
Management, and Configuration Management.
 Proficient in Service Now development and configuration, including workflows, business rules, UI policies,
and scripting using JavaScript.
 Experience with Service Now integration using APIs and web services.
 Familiarity with ITIL processes and best practices related to ITOM and CMDB.
 Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot technical issues independently.
 Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate eƯectively with
stakeholders and technical teams.
 Service Now certifications such as Certified System Administrator (CSA) and Certified Implementation
Specialist (CIS) in ITOM or CMDB.
 Experience with Agile development methodologies is a plus.
