The Windows Server L3 Engineer will be responsible for advanced troubleshooting, design validation, patching, automation, migration, and operational excellence for enterprise Windows infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with Active Directory, Group Policies, Failover Clustering, Windows security hardening, and ITIL-based support processes. VMware virtualization experience is required as a secondary technology skill for VM lifecycle management, performance tuning, and ESXi/v Center troubleshooting.

Virtualization Mandatory Skills:

VMware stretched cluster with v Sphere 7.x, Site Recovery Manager (SRM)

Key Responsibilities:

• To provide technical support to clients at all times, and must respond promptly to issues reported by clients, conducting root cause analysis and going through various testing scenarios for thorough resolution.

• Hands on experience in Hardware issues and RAID, experience in problem solving Capability in HPE and Synergy Hardware

• Manage, configure, and support Windows Server OS (2016/2019/2022).

• Expert experience in OS performance issues. Troubleshoot complex OS issues, kernel-level errors, and BSOD problems, strong troubleshooting skill in Windows server recovery.

• Perform AD Forest/domain management, FSMO role handling, DNS/DHCP administration.

• Configure and manage Group Policies, security baselines, and login scripts

• Perform cluster implementation and troubleshooting skill for Windows failover Cluster, file server cluster, Always-On clusters.

• Implement OS hardening, CIS compliance, and security remediation.

• Manage patch cycles using available patching tool like WSUS, SCCM etc.

• Expert knowledge in DHCP, Scopes and understanding super scopes and troubleshooting of any issues.

• Must have hands on experience in File share servers, quota implementation and DFS troubleshooting.

• Strong experience in migration, upgradation planning, coordination, life cycle management for various Windows technologies like File server, Windows Operating System etc.

• Experience in handling print servers, KMS Servers.

• An ability to learn new technologies quickly good time management skills with strong documentation skills.

• Identify opportunities for efficiencies in work process and innovative approaches to completing scope of work

• Provide on-site support at data centre for infrastructure maintenance activities

• Working knowledge in Scripting and Automation

• Work with Local & Global Teams

• Perform in 24 x 7 environment in shift roaster and attend calls whenever assigned

VMware Job Responsibility -

• Administration of VMware technologies including, but not limited to, v Sphere, SRM, Update Manager, v Realize Operation Manager, v Realize Network Insight, v Realize Log Insight, Zerto, Veeam, Turbonomics.

• Strong understanding and knowledge of ESXi Virtual Hosts, strong conceptual knowledge of VMware v Center, HA, DRS, Licensing & SRM.

• Hands-on experience with vROPS, v Realize Log Insight tools.

• Handling escalated incidents or high critical tickets providing RCA.

• Ability to setup of resource pools and a VMware Distributed Resources Scheduler (DRS) cluster, Resource Management, Resource Monitoring along with VMware High Availability (HA) cluster.

• Proven experience in ESX Server Installation and configuration of virtual switches, network connections and port groups configure Storage

• Expertise in Virtual Center Installation and configuration and Installation of its components Perform Level 3 Support & troubleshooting with ESXi Operating system.

• Proficient in scripting ESX Server deployments for remote installation and security in a VMware Virtualized Environment

• Demonstrable experience in Install / Upgrade ESXi platform environment and experience ESXi servers patching using Update Manager.

• Administration & understanding of storage architectures, including peripheral interfaces (SCSI, RAID, Ethernet) and multi-processor designs (SMP)

• Experience in managing Mid-range/Enterprise Servers Hardware

• Fair Knowledge on backup solutions Backup Exec, Net Backup, IBM TSM, HP DP or EMC Networker (At least one).
