Job Description

The Administrator L3 – Oracle Database Admin is responsible for end‑to‑end ownership of Oracle databases as a Primary and/or Secondary DBA. The role focuses on Level 3 production support, database performance, stability, high availability, and disaster recovery.

Hybrid (3 days onsite, 2 days remote)

02:00 PM CET to 10:00 PM CET

Key Responsibilities

  • Own Oracle databases as Primary/Secondary DBA and provide Level 3 DBA support for assigned servers.
  • Implement and maintain database standards and best practices across environments.
  • Perform mandatory performance tuning, process optimization, and database stability improvements.
  • Execute database build, upgrade, patching, and migration activities (mandatory).
  • Configure and support Oracle Data Guard, including troubleshooting data synchronization issues (mandatory).
  • Define and maintain backup and restore strategies for disaster scenarios, including RMAN optimization (mandatory).
  • Install, configure, and maintain Oracle Real Application Clusters (RAC).
  • Troubleshoot RAC and ASM issues to ensure high availability (mandatory).
  • Perform root cause analysis for complex incidents and implement preventive measures.
  • Collaborate with application, infrastructure, and support teams to ensure database reliability and availability.

Key requirements:

  • 3-5 years of relevant experience
  • Strong hands‑on experience as an Oracle DBA providing Level3 support in production environments.
  • Proven expertise in:
  • Oracle database performance tuning and optimization
  • Database build, upgrade, patching, and migration
  • Oracle Data Guard setup and troubleshooting
  • Backup and recovery strategies, including RMAN
  • Oracle RAC and ASM installation and support
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to take ownership and work independently in critical situations.

Good to Have

  • Experience with Oracle Golden Gate installation, configuration, and troubleshooting replication issues.
