Automation ENgineer;Hyd,Pune;150k max b3-7+yrs

Design, develop and enhance the Restful APIs
-
Develop Ansible Playbooks to automate IT infrastructure related tasks. Manage secrets.
-
Focus on automating all aspects of the Red Hat Linux, Windows & Virtualization platform
-
Develop new APIs & support existing self-service APIs serving GB/GF customers to perform Day 2 operations
-
Increase speed of provisioning, availability, and performance.
-
Work with our Agile Teams, Architects and Product Owners to identify and implement the most optimal solution for the platforms and our customers.
-
Ensure the automation solutions meets SOX requirements and other audit & compliance needs
-
Migration of various technology stacks from one platform to another, namely, Mule to Kong, Puppet to AAP etc.
-
Provide technical advise to team members and contribute in upskilling of the team.

Innovate new solutions and ensure the products use latest technology stacks
To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:
-
Proficient in Python API development and Python FastAPI framework
-
Possess strong knowledge and extensive hands-on experience in developing Ansible Playbook (AAP)
-
Exposure on Red Fish API and its related automation is added advantage.
-
Knowledge and experience on Secrets Management tools or vaults, is preferred.
-
Knowledge and understanding on Redhat Linux Operating System and its basics
-
Hands-on experience in Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines and code management in a large organization using GIT
-
Experienced in automation and orchestration technologies like Ansible Automation Platform (AAP)
-
Advanced understanding of developing and testing automation using Ansible Playbooks and Jenkins via API calls
-
Experience of working with agile practices and toolsets including JIRA and Confluence
-
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels
-
Experience working with and managing Jenkins pipelines for code testing and continuous deployment.
-
Experience in developing script using Bash or Powershell and good understanding on Linux/Windows server platform
-
A proven track record in applying these skills across Enterprise scale estates

Do
**Drive technical solution support to the team to align on continuous integration (CI) and continuous deployment (CD) of technology in applications**
- Design and define the overall DevOps architecture/ framework to for a project/ module delivery as per the client requirement
- Decide on the DevOps tool & platform and which needs to be deployed aligned to the customerâÂÂs requirement
- Create a tool deployment model for validating, testing and monitoring performance and align or provision for resources accordingly
- Define & manage the IT infrastructure as per the requirement of the supported software code
- Manage and drive the DevOps pipeline that supports the application life cycle across the DevOps toolchain â from planning, coding and building, to testing, to staging, to release, configuration and monitoring
- Work with the team to tackle the coding and scripting needed to connect elements of the code that are required to run the software release with operating systems and production infrastructure with minimum disruptions
- Ensure on boarding application configuration from planning to release stage
- Integrate security in the entire dev-ops lifecycle to ensure no cyber risk and data privacy is maintained

**Provide customer support/ service on the DevOps tools**
- Timely support internal & external customers escalations on multiple platforms
- Troubleshoot the various problems that arise in implementation of DevOps tools across the project/ module
- Perform root cause analysis of major incidents/ critical issues which may hamper project timeliness, quality or cost
- Develop alternate plans/ solutions to be implemented as per root cause analysis of critical problems
- Follow escalation matrix/ process as soon as a resolution gets complicated or isnâÂÂt resolved
- Provide knowledge transfer, sharing best practices with the team and motivate

- Promote diversity in leadership positions
Performance Management
- Set goals for direct reportees, conduct timely performance reviews and appraisals, and give constructive feedback to direct reports.
- Incase of performance issues, take necessary action with zero tolerance for âÂÂwillâ based performance issues
- Ensure that organizational programs like Performance Nxtarewell understood and that the team is taking the opportunities presented by such programs to their and their levels below

- Lead and drive engagement initiatives for the team
- Track team satisfaction scores and identify initiatives to build engagement within the team
- Proactively challenge the team with larger and enriching projects/ initiatives for the organization or team
