Job Description

Work Environment:

• Hybrid – from Gdańsk/Warsaw, 3 days from the office

Key Responsibilities:

• Understanding operational requirements including Hardware, Architecture, configuration, Integration and maintaining mission critical production PostgreSQL databases.

• Replication using various methods like streaming, cascading and logical.

• HA solution of EDB PostgreSQL using EFM and Load balancer.

• Responsible for all Logical and Physical backup & Recovery even PITR recovery.

• Connection Pooling tools and Auditing of database.

• Regular maintenance of databases (eg. Vacuum, Reindexing, Archiving).

• Experience on community-supported tools like Pgbadger, Slony, PGadmin,Pgpool, Pgbouncer.

• Managing Clusters and upgrading/migrating various PostgreSQL database versions.

• Performance tuning.

• Developing database automation scripts and maintenance.

• Provide technical guidance for integration, testing, design, development, planning of new production systems/databases.

• Contribute to improving and creating DBA policies, procedures and standards.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Strong experience as DBA / Postgre

SQL Database Administrator:

• Experience in monitoring, managing and maintaining mission-critical 247 mission critical databases.

• Good understanding of PostgreSQL Architecture.

• Experience with Installation/Configuration/Administration PostgreSQL on Linux/Windows machines.

• Experience with implementing high-availability solutions.

• Experience in Installation /configuration of Replication, Connection pooling etc.

• Expert in Backup & Recovery including PG dump, setting up WAL archiving.

• Experience on PostgreSQL minor/major version upgrade.

Nice to have:

• MySQL

• Mongo dB

• MSSQL

• Oracle (at least one technology)
