Role Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Windows Server Administrator with expertise in VMware, complemented by strong Linux system administration capabilities. This role requires a minimum of 10 years of demonstrated experience managing, maintaining, and securing enterprise-grade Microsoft and Linux systems. The successful candidate will play a vital role in the administration, patching, and hardening of our critical server environments, ensuring optimal performance, security, and availability aligned with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the deployment, configuration, and ongoing maintenance of Microsoft Windows Server environments including Active Directory, Terminal Services, and related infrastructure components.

• Design, implement, and manage virtualized environments using VMware to optimize resource utilization and system resilience.

• Participate proactively in patch management cycles and system hardening initiatives, applying security best practices to mitigate risks.

• Develop and enhance automation scripts utilizing Bash, PowerShell, or Python to streamline operational tasks and improve system reliability.

• Conduct thorough troubleshooting and root cause analysis of complex issues within Microsoft, Linux, and virtualized platforms to ensure rapid incident resolution.

• Maintain comprehensive documentation of system architecture, configurations, and operational procedures to support knowledge sharing and compliance requirements.

• Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends, proposing improvements to infrastructure and security strategies.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• At least 6-8 years of professional experience administering Microsoft Windows Server systems, including Active Directory and Terminal Services.

• 8+ years’ hands-on experience with Linux system administration, covering installation, configuration, and maintenance.

• Proficient with VMware virtualization technologies, with 8+ years in deploying and managing virtual environments.

• Strong understanding of Active Directory services with minimum 6 years of practical expertise.

• Fundamental knowledge of storage technologies and networking principles essential for server environment management.

• Demonstrated scripting capabilities in one or more languages such as Bash, Python, or PowerShell to enhance system automation.

• Experience working with Tainum and cloud platform environments, particularly AWS, including security and governance best practices.

• Familiarity with configuration management tools such as Ansible and clustering solutions like Red Hat Cluster Suite.
