Senior AWS Engineer – Python Experience: 6–10 Years

Location: Pune / Bangalore / Hybrid

Job Summary

We are looking for a Senior AWS Engineer with strong Python skills to join a team building a regulatory reporting cloud solution. The role involves designing and developing scalable cloud-native solutions that integrate with multiple source systems and third‑party reporting platforms.
You will work closely with Product Leads, Squad Leads, and Technical Leads, contributing independently while also providing technical guidance and best‑practice recommendations to the team.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain cloud‑native integration solutions using APIs, file‑based integrations, and web services.

• Build and deploy solutions using AWS serverless and event‑driven services such as Lambda, Event Bridge, Step Functions, SNS, SQS, AWS Glue, and Spark.

• Develop and optimize Python‑based applications and data pipelines.

• Containerize applications or refactor them to run on native AWS services.

• Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps (ADO).

• Collaborate with Business Analysts and Technical Leads to refine and clarify requirements.

• Provide technical mentoring and guidance to team members to ensure high‑quality delivery.

• Troubleshoot, debug, and reverse‑engineer existing solutions when required.

Technical Skills (Mandatory)

• Strong experience in AWS cloud services (compute, database, serverless).

• Hands‑on experience with Python and libraries such as Pandas, SQLAlchemy, and Boto3.

• Experience with integration patterns (APIs, file‑based, web services).

• Practical knowledge of Event Bridge, Step Functions, Lambda, SNS, SQS, AWS Glue, Spark.

• Strong experience in CI/CD and Azure DevOps (ADO) for code management and deployment pipelines.

• Solid understanding of SOLID principles, Repository and Service design patterns.

Good to Have

• Experience in designing and building data pipelines using SQL.

• Exposure to containerization and cloud‑native architectures.
