Job Description
Title: Moogsoft AIOps Engineer Total Years of experience: 6 years to 10 years Location: Anywhere in India
Roles & Responsibilities:
Platform Management:
Deploy, configure, and maintain Moogsoft AIOps (On-prem / Moogsoft Cloud)
Customize event ingestion, normalization, and enrichment pipelines
Configure alert correlation, clustering, and noise reduction policies
Perform Moogsoft upgrades, patches, and performance tuning
Integrate Moogsoft with monitoring tools such as:
Splunk, Dynatrace, App Dynamics, Prometheus, Nagios, etc.
Work with REST APIs, webhooks, and data pipelines
Implement automation using:
Python / Shell scripting
ITSM tools (Service Now, BMC Remedy, Jira, etc.)
Build event workflows for incident creation and auto-remediation
Event & Incident Management:
Configure:
Alerts → Situations → Incidents lifecycle
Design correlation rules, similarity algorithms, and noise suppression
Monitor real-time events and improve MTTR (Mean Time to Resolution)
Create dashboards and reports for operational insights
Data & AI Operations:
Tune AI algorithms for better event deduplication and clustering
Analyze historical data to improve:
Alert quality
Incident prediction
Work with data sources like:
Logs, metrics, traces
Strong experience with:
Moogsoft AIOps (v9 / Cloud preferred)
Knowledge of:
Linux/Unix systems
JSON, REST APIs
SQL / NoSQL databases
Scripting:
Python, Shell, or JavaScript
Monitoring tools integration experience
AIOps / Monitoring Knowledge
Understanding of:
Event correlation
Alert noise reduction
Root cause analysis (RCA)
and strong knowledge of ITIL processes
Do1. Provide tool design, development and deployment support for the project delivery
a. Interact with the internal project or client to understand the project requirement from a tool perspective
b. Design the solution keeping in mind the tool requirements, current tools available as well as details on licenses required etc.
c. Provide budget and timeline estimates for the tool development/ deployment as required
d. For any new tool development, identify sources for development (internal or 3rd party) and work with the project managers on the development of the tool keeping in mind the production rollout timelines
e. Conduct commercial discussions with the 3rd party vendors for licenses or tool development
f. Conduct appropriate testing to ensure error free deployment of the tool on the project
g. Ensure deployment of tool on time and within the estimated budget
