At WHOOP, we're on a mission to unlock human performance and healthspan. WHOOP empowers members to perform at a higher level through a deeper understanding of their bodies and daily lives.
WHOOP is looking for a deeply technical individual to lead our IT function. We’re calling this position Director of IT Engineering to emphasize the criticality of having a strong, technical IT organization. This leadership role is for a builder who likes to lead by example and is great at both strategy and hands-on execution. Good fit candidates will be able to speak to countless examples of using bleeding edge, powerful tools & technologies to drive frictionless employee experience, major improvements in productivity and efficiency, and security-by-design.
Our IT team is very small today. You will join at the ground level and build the team. Together with that team, you will design, implement, and operate an IT environment that will enable our employees through the next phases of scale and global expansion. You will toil over making our employee experience the best it can be. You will build innovative and reliable corporate infrastructure with AI. And you will protect our company, brand, and employees from security threats.
This role reports to our VP of Business Technology.
