Producer, Creative Content and Strategy at Western Digital
About the role
The Producer works within Strategic Communications and is responsible for producing high-impact content and live events for internal and external audiences. A large part of this role is working cross- functionally with various orgs and internal stakeholders to ensure projects stay organized, on schedule, and executed to the highest and most compelling standards.
This role requires semi-frequent domestic and even international travel with a hands-on production mindset. Significant, real-world live event production experience is mandatory. The ideal candidate has owned on-site execution, works comfortably in high-visibility corporate environments, and can step in wherever needed along any production workstream to ensure success.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Produce end-to-end video content for executive presentations, customer events, live events, demos, videos, internal and external communications
- Translate high-level strategy and direction into clear narratives, production plans, and finished deliverables
- Lead production for live events, customer engagements, leadership sessions, demos, and internal events (virtual and in-person)
- Travel semi-regularly to support on-site production, rehearsals, filming, and live execution
- Develop and manage run-of-show documents, production timelines, speaker preparation, aspects of production management, and rehearsals
- Serve as the primary on-site production lead, proactively identifying and resolving issues in real time
- Collaborate with external vendors, agencies, AV teams, and internal creative partners
Stakeholder & Executive Partnership:
- Partner directly with senior leaders and cross‑functional stakeholders across regions and time zones to drive alignment and deliver high‑impact communications.
- Orchestrate complex, multi‑stakeholder inputs while maintaining clarity, momentum, and quality from planning through execution.
- Represent the Strategic Communications team as a trusted extension of leadership, bringing confidence, authority, and professionalism to high‑stakes live moments.
Required Qualifications:
- 10+ years of significant production and producing experience
- Proven experience producing executive-level events, demos, or communications in a corporate or enterprise environment
- Willingness and ability to travel regularly, including international travel, based on business needs
Preferred Qualifications:
- Hands-on experience with camera operation, photography, and basic video/audio editing
- Familiarity with AV systems, live-event workflows, and production environments
- Ability to operate camera, audio, still photography, editing (premiere / adobe products), and basic lighting setups are a plus

The salary range is what we believe to be the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and this range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in California, Colorado, New York or remote jobs that can be performed in California, Colorado and New York. This range may be modified in the future.

If your position is non-exempt, you are eligible for overtime pay pursuant to company policy and applicable laws. You may also be eligible for shift differential pay, depending on the shift to which you are assigned.

You will be eligible to be considered for bonuses under either WD’s Short Term Incentive Plan (“STI Plan”) or the Sales Incentive Plan (“SIP”) which provides incentive awards based on Company and individual performance, depending on your role and your performance. You may be eligible to participate in our annual Long-Term Incentive (LTI) program, which consists of restricted stock units (RSUs) or cash equivalents, pursuant to the terms of the LTI plan. Please note that not all roles are eligible to participate in the LTI program, and not all roles are eligible for equity under the LTI plan. RSU awards are also available to eligible new hires, subject to WD's Standard Terms and Conditions for Restricted Stock Unit Awards.
