About the role

This full-time evening shift RN position on the West Float Team at Wellstar involves providing emergency nursing care in various ED environments. Responsibilities include patient assessment, triage, intervention, medication administration, and collaboration with physicians and multidisciplinary teams. Candidates must have at least 2 years of recent ED RN experience, a BSN, and hold active RN and required certifications (BLS, ACLS, PALS). The role requires adaptability, critical thinking, and the ability to work under pressure. Travel between facilities is expected. A BSN is preferred, and advanced trauma certifications such as TNCC or ATCN are desirable. The position offers opportunities to expand clinical skills and work within a high-performing healthcare team.

As a member of the Well Star Enterprise Support Team (W.E.S.T.) Float Pool, you will play a vital role in delivering compassionate, patient-centred emergency nursing care across multiple facilities. This full-time evening position offers the opportunity to work in fast-paced emergency departments, travelling between locations to provide expert care and support. As a member of the Well Star Enterprise Support Team (W.E.S.T.) Float Pool, you’ll bring your expertise to Well Star facilities, stepping in where you’re needed most. What You’ll Do:

  • Provide comprehensive emergency nursing care—assessment, triage, intervention, and evaluation.
  • Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately.
  • Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
  • Respond swiftly and effectively to critical situations and codes.
  • Educate patients and families on care, treatment, and discharge instructions.
  • Ensure accurate, timely documentation in compliance with Well Star standards.

What You’ll Bring:

Experience:

  • Minimum 2+ years of recent, direct ED RN experience required.

Education:

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program (BSN preferred) required.

Required Licensure/Certifications:

  • Active RN license (Georgia or Compact) required.
  • BLS – Basic Life Support required.
  • ACLS – Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support required.
  • PALS – Pediatric Advanced Life Support required.
  • TNCC- Trauma Nurse Core Course or ATCN - Adv Trauma Care for Nurses Cert preferred.
