Job Description About this role:

• Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Software Engineer.
• Experienced Service Now Senior Engineer to design, develop, and implement custom solutions within our Service Now environment. The ideal candidate will have advanced knowledge of Service Now platform capabilities and JavaScript development, with experience in Java Background.

In this role, you will:

• Lead moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within technical domain environments
• Contribute to large scale planning of strategies
• Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs associated with technology domain, including upgrades and deployments
• Review moderately complex technical challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of technologies and procedures
• Resolve moderately complex issues and lead a team to meet existing client needs or potential new clients’ needs while leveraging solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, or compliance requirements
• Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid-level managers to resolve technical challenges and achieve goals
• Lead projects and act as an escalation point, provide guidance and direction to less experienced staff

Required Qualifications:

• 4+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Additional Required Qualifications:

• 4+ years of Service Now development experience
• Advanced JavaScript programming skills
• Expert knowledge of Service Now APIs (Glide Record, Glide Form, etc.)
• Experience with Service Now table structures and relationships
• Strong understanding of query optimization techniques
• Proficiency in Service Now reporting and dashboards
• Experience with Service Now integration capabilities
• 4+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
• 4+ years of Software Engineering experience including hands-on experience with application development using Java and distributed technologies both on-premises and cloud.
• Strong in Java/JEE, Spring framework, JavaScript, RESTful web services, Python
• Sound knowledge of UI frameworks
• Strong understanding of microservices and associated design patterns
• Experience with latest unit testing tools including Junit
• Experience with best-in-class version control tools like GitHub
• Experience with build tools like Maven or Gradle
• Working knowledge of both SQL and NoSQL databases
• Knowledge of messaging systems like MQ, Solace, Kafka
• Knowledge of Open Shift or any Kubernetes containerization platform
• Experience in identifying and remediating security vulnerabilities
• Should be well versed with test driven development and be knowledgeable on associated tools and practices
• Experience with working with globally distributed teams in working in Agile scrums
• Strong verbal and written communication skills

Desired Qualifications:

• Service Now Certified Application Developer or higher certification
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field
• Experience with ITIL processes and ITSM workflows
• Knowledge of REST API integrations
• Well versed in DevOps concepts
• Aware of cloud native application development best practices and design patterns

Job Expectations

• Design and develop custom Service Now applications, integrations, and workflows
• Write efficient and optimized code using Service

Now's JavaScript API:

• Create and optimize complex database queries using Glide Record and Glide Aggregate
• Implement advanced join queries and relationship management between Service Now tables
• Develop performance-optimized solutions for large data sets
• Mentor junior developers on Service Now best practices
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions
• Work as a full stack software developer for a large complex enterprise scale application
• Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs associated with technology domain, including upgrades and deployments
• Lead moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within technical domain environments
• You would lead to design and development of applications.
• Fix issues and implement new functionality/changes.
• Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs associated with technology domain, including upgrades and deployments
• Review moderately complex technical challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of technologies and procedures
• Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid-level managers to resolve technical challenges and achieve goals
• Develop highly scalable custom Service now Solutions, Workflows & Integration.
• Service Now platform upgrades and maintenance
• Experience with Service Now Performance Analytics
• Knowledge of Service Mapping and CMDB management
• Experience to deliver solutions by following Agile/Scrum methodologies
