Waymo is an autonomous driving technology company with the mission to be the world's most trusted driver. Since its start as the Google Self-Driving Car Project in 2009, Waymo has focused on building the Waymo Driver—The World's Most Experienced Driver™—to improve access to mobility while saving thousands of lives now lost to traffic crashes. The Waymo Driver powers Waymo’s fully autonomous ride-hail service and can also be applied to a range of vehicle platforms and product use cases. The Waymo Driver has provided over ten million rider-only trips, enabled by its experience autonomously driving over 100 million miles on public roads and tens of billions in simulation across 15+ U.S. states.

Waymo's supply chain and manufacturing teams are making the cars of the future a reality. We handle all production processes and supplier development strategies: from contracts and purchasing, to designs for improved manufacturing, through quality control and delivery. We collaborate actively with Waymo engineering teams as well as external suppliers and partners to make sure everything is built to spec and delivered on time to meet the rising demands of our business. This role will report to the Director of Supply Chain Planning and Logistics.

You will:

  • Design, stand up, and manage end-to-end buy-sell vehicle operations, including ownership transfer, invoicing flows, and fulfillment execution

  • Serve as the subject matter expert for partner-facing related vehicle buy-sell activities

  • Demonstrate sound business decision making aligned with company goal

  • Own and evolve the systems and tools that support vehicle buy-sell and fulfillment operations

  • Own operational processes supporting vehicle purchasing, sales, and transfers, ensuring alignment with Waymo’s supply and demand plans

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders across Supply & Demand, Business Development, Legal, Finance, Accounting, Tax, Trade & Compliance and Partner Management to ensure buy-sell structures are scalable and compliant

  • Develop and document standard operating procedures for vehicle fulfillment and commercial transactions

  • Track and report on key operational and financial metrics, identifying risks, gaps, and opportunities for optimization

  • Support contract development and execution by translating commercial terms into operationally executable processes

  • Identify opportunities to automate, simplify, and scale fulfillment operations as Waymo’s fleet and markets expand

You have:

  • 10+ years of experience in buy-sell operations, fulfillment operations, finished goods planning, S&OP, commercial operations, or vehicle lifecycle management, preferably in automotive, mobility, or hardware-based technology companies

  • Hands-on experience setting up or managing buy-sell or resale

  • Strong understanding of financial flows, including pricing, invoicing, revenue recognition considerations, and cost modeling

  • Experience operating in complex, fast-moving environments with multiple stakeholders and dependencies

  • Strong program management, problem-solving, and communication skills

  • Familiarity with trade compliance, import/export considerations, or multi-market vehicle fulfillment

  • Ability to balance strategic thinking with operational execution and attention to detail

  • Experience in operational and financial risk assessment and the design of internal controls
