Job Summary:

Manages engineering staff and activities.

  • II.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Organizes and schedules all necessary engineering resources required to accomplish activities.

  • Monitors department work processes, procedures and expenses, and establishes programs which drive team performance toward departmental and organizational goals.

  • Reviews and evaluates work to ensure quality, timeliness and ensures quality control in adherence to policies and procedures.

  • Oversees personnel needs of the department including selecting, coaching, and training employees and evaluating employee performance. Provides input into termination, compensation, and promotion decisions.

  • Submits reasonable budget information and analyzes data versus year-to-date data and prior year budget.

  • Manages departmental projects as needed.

  • Coordinates activities concerned with technical developments, scheduling, and resolving engineering design and test problems.

  • Develops and tests components, equipment, and systems applying principles and techniques of electrical, mechanical, chemical, and/or industrial engineering.

  • Functions as a working team member, and provides technical and administrative direction to other engineering staff.

  • Reviews and evaluates work to ensure quality, timeliness and ensures quality control in adherence to policies and procedures.

  • Ensures that department project goals are met within the stated guidelines and requirements.

Qualifications:

  • A.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience, in Engineering or similar area of study
    7 years previous experience.
