Our team

As WBD Sports' portfolio continues to grow around the world and across platforms, the Global Technology & Operations team is building media technology and IT systems that meet the world‑class standard for which WBD is known.

ET&O builds, implements and maintains the business systems and technology that are critical for delivering WBD’s products, while articulating the long‑term technology strategy that will enable WBD’s growing pay‑TV, digital terrestrial, free‑to‑air and online services to reach more audiences on more platforms.

From Amsterdam to Singapore and from satellite and broadcast operations to SAP, we are driving WBD forward on the leading edge of technology.

You will mainly be involved on the WBD Sports platform and on the new platform dedicated to General Entertainment. The channels are currently moving to a new technology platform for all equipment across Europe, based on a hybrid architecture combining on‑premise and cloud solutions.

The London and Paris teams manage the engineering and Tier 3 support of this new group, supported by two playout centers and all the European markets from Eurosport.

Your new role...

We are looking for a Broadcast Senior Engineer with a passion for solving complex challenges in the broadcast and media landscape.

As part of the M2P Team (MAM, Post‑Production and Playout), you will provide engineering and Level 3 support on MAM and Post‑Production platforms within a virtualized hybrid on‑premise and cloud environment.

You will play a key role in sport production and entertainment deliveries.

Your role accountabilities...Engineering

• Project management

• Proactively identify, propose, and support the implementation of technological evolutions for the platform

• Gather workflow needs with production teams across all Eurosport offices

• Write workflow, project and engineering documentation

• Centralize and design workflows on MAM and Post‑Production creation

• Follow up development and test deliveries

• Coordinate broadcast and IT teams on integration projects

Support

• Tier 3 support

• Ensure day‑to‑day platform updates are shared with Tier 2 support

Qualifications & Experiences...

• Degree in Technology or similar

• Proficiency in English (written and spoken); knowledge of French is a plus

• Strong communication skills

• Ability to work in a constantly changing environment

• Comfortable working independently and driving work forward

• Strong team player with self‑motivation and a consistent customer‑service mindset

• Excellent troubleshooting, analytical and problem‑solving skills

• Experience in Sport, News, Production and Documentary environments

• Experience with MAM, Post‑Production and workflow engine tools

• Strong broadcast technical background (IP video 2110, AES67, NMOS, video and audio formats and codecs)

• Good understanding of IT technologies and related challenges (network, virtualization, storage, cloud services, security)

• Continuous technology watch to keep systems efficient and aligned with business growth

• This role is advertised as a Hybrid work model, that combines remote and in-office work, following our current company policy and to be agreed with your Line Manager. Subject to any applicable laws, WBD / your Line Manager reserves the right to change this working agreement where this is essential to business needs and upon reasonable notice to you.
