Your New Role:

Bleacher Report is seeking a visionary Vice President of Product
Management to lead the strategic development and execution of our
content management systems, programming automation, and
personalization platforms. This executive will drive innovation across our
web, mobile app, social platforms, and emerging channels, empowering
our editorial teams to program efficiently at scale while delivering hyperpersonalized experiences to millions of sports fans globally.

As VP of Product Management, you will define the long-term vision and
near-term roadmap for the systems and tools that power content
discovery, curation, distribution, and personalization across Bleacher
Report's entire ecosystem—from our flagship apps to social platforms like
Instagram, Twitter, Snapchat, and Tik Tok. You'll lead a cross-functional
organization responsible for building intelligent automation, machine
learning-driven personalization, real-time content streaming, and
sophisticated CMS capabilities that allow our creators to focus on making
great content, not wrestling with tools.

The Work

  • Strategic Leadership & Vision
  • Define and execute a multi-year product strategy for CMS
platforms, programming automation tools, and personalization
algorithms that support Bleacher Report's position as the #1 sports
    publisher for social-first, mobile-first audiences
  • Drive the evolution of content management and programming
workflows to support rapid content creation, curation, and
    distribution
  • Partner with senior executives to align product initiatives with
business objectives, presenting strategic vision and performance
    metrics to C-Level leaders
  • Lead the integration of AI/ML technologies to power content
personalization, real-time trending topic detection, automated
content enrichment tagging, and intelligent distribution across
    channels
  • Content Platform & CMS Innovation
  • Oversee the development and optimization of Bleacher Report's
content management systems, enabling editorial teams to publish
thousands of pieces of content daily
  • Build and scale automated content delivery pipelines that
intelligently route content to appropriate platforms and audiences
  • Define product requirements for personalized alert and notification
technologies that curate personalized content from all sources
  • Champion mobile-first and social-first product development,
ensuring our CMS and tools are optimized for the workflows of
    modern sports media creators
  • Drive the development of real-time publishing and streaming
capabilities that allow Bleacher Report to break news faster than
competitors and keep fans engaged during live sporting events
  • Personalization, ML & Algorithmic Content Discovery
  • Build sophisticated personalization systems that deliver hyperrelevant
    content
  • Define requirements for machine learning and recommendation
algorithms — ensuring fans see the stories, videos, and updates
    most relevant to them
  • Implement A/B testing frameworks and experimentation
methodologies to continuously optimize content performance,
    engagement, and retention across platforms
  • Partner with data science teams to leverage behavioral data, social
signals, and real-time trends to inform content programming
    decisions and automated editorial workflows
  • Drive the development of predictive analytics that help editorial
teams understand what content will resonate before it's published
  • Social Media & Distributed Content Strategy
  • Lead product initiatives that optimize Bleacher Report's content for
distributed platforms including Instagram, Twitter, Tik Tok, Snapchat,
  • YouTube, and emerging social networks
  • Build tools and workflows that enable our teams to create viral
content at scale with consistent quality and rapid turnaround
  • Team Building & Organizational Leadership
  • Build and lead a high-performing product management organization
focused on sports media, content platforms, and personalization
    technologies
  • Mentor and develop product managers at all levels, establishing best
practices for requirements gathering, user research, prioritization,
    and stakeholder collaboration
  • Foster a culture of innovation, experimentation, and fan-centricity,
ensuring the team deeply understands sports fan behavior and
    consumption patterns
  • Conduct regular user research, office hours, and training sessions
with editorial teams, social creators, and programming stakeholders
    across Bleacher Report
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Work closely with engineering leadership to translate business
requirements into scalable technical solutions, including platform
    architecture, APIs, and distributed systems
  • Collaborate with data science and ML engineering teams to embed
intelligence into content recommendation, trending topic detection,
    and automated programming systems
  • Partner with editorial leadership, social media teams, and content
creators to understand workflows, pain points, and opportunities for
    tool improvement
  • Engage with analytics teams to establish measurement frameworks
for content performance, engagement, and personalization
    effectiveness

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Passion for sports and deep understanding of sports fan behavior,

  • Experience with real-time content platforms, breaking news

    for distributed content

  • Familiarity with A/B testing frameworks, experimentation platforms,
    and performance optimization methodologies

  • Understanding of video streaming, editorial, aggregation,
    advertising, and multimedia content systems

  • Experience with analytics tools (Looker, Tableau, Com Score, Nielsen)
    and data-driven decision making

  • Technical depth sufficient to collaborate effectively with
engineering, data science, and ML teams on platform architecture
    and requirements

  • Background in agile methodologies, modern PDLC & SDLC processes

  • Experience working with content creators, editorial teams, and
    creative professionals

  • What Success Looks Like

  • Editorial and social teams publish 30%+ more content with fewer
