Your New CNN Role
The Off-Platform Editor on CNN’s Audience Team will work to create and distribute content across CNN’s flagship social handles to drive referral traffic, broaden our reach and deepen our engagement across top social media platforms.
Your Role Accountabilities

Create and edit highly engaging social content across platforms including Instagram, Facebook, Whats App and others

Experiment with content formats that play to social platform infrastructure
-
Analyze metrics, make data-driven decisions and identify trends that will inform our audience strategy
-
Act as an internal ambassador to educate editorial partners on engaging offplatform presentation, and help provide a feedback loop that can inform coverage decisions and on-platform offerings

Plan weekend content offerings in collaboration with editorial teams and in alignment with network priorities
Qualifications and Experience
You have:
-
At least 3-5 years of social media experience at a major news outlet
-
Experience creating engaging social content, including video, visuals and multimedia offerings
-
Understanding of user experiences across top social platforms and the algorithms that power them
-
Exceptional news judgment with a passion for publishing breaking news
-
Meticulous editing and creative copywriting skills
-
Experience using analytics tools to identify actionable takeaways and better serve our audiences
-
Experience using Adobe Photoshop and post-production video programs such as Premiere Pro
-
This role includes weekend shifts. Flexibility is necessary for coverage on holidays and extended hours as news needs require
