Your New Role...

The news desk is a team of writers and editors that deliver breaking news across CNN’s platforms, including news and feature articles on the cnn.com website, editorial for linear television, digital videos and more. We work closely with other teams to bring multiplatform coverage on both US and international news priorities.

Your Role Accountabilities...

The news desk intern will assist writers with research, translation, finding interviewees and conducting interviews, monitoring and pitching daily stories, and contributing writing. The candidate should have strong English; other language abilities especially Chinese are a plus.

Qualifications/Experience

• Currently pursuing an Undergraduate or Masters degree.

• Strong passion in journalism and and keen to develop strong editorial judgment skills in a fast-paced newsroom setting.

• Candidates are required to commit for a minimum duration of 3 months, starting from May/June 2026.

• Candidates must have the right of abode in Hong Kong or hold a valid student visa and No Objection Letter (NOL) from the Hong Kong Immigration Department.
