Job Description:
As a Senior Controls Engineer with the Ride Control Team, you will develop and implement control systems for complex automated industrial laundry applications to enhance our guest experience. We are seeking a Senior Controls Engineer that can contribute to the development of control systems across multiple automated laundry & textile facilities.
You will design, commission and support the electrical and electronic systems that control industrial laundry equipment, applying expertise in electrical design and multi-language software development for industrial controls. We seek an individual that works well both individually and as a member and leader of a project team.
This position is a Full-Time Hybrid role based in Lake Buena Vista, FL, and will report to a Manager of Ride Controls.
Responsibilities/You will:

Develop electrical and automated designs for interfaces to high volume automated washing, drying, sorting and folding systems.

Develop software architecture and coding for Embedded Systems, Rockwell and Siemens PLCs
-
Develop and troubleshoot software and hardware on motion control VFD and servo systems
-
Develop hardware and software design documents
-
Develop safety analysis documents used in safety critical applications
-
Develop and troubleshoot software for industrial Graphical User Interfaces
-
Develop and perform control system acceptance test plans
Required Qualifications/You will have:
-
5+ years of experience in industrial automation and controls.

Proficient in PLC programming and C/C++
-
Experience designing and architecting control systems hardware to UL 508a, e.g. Motor Control Cabinets, IO enclosures, field sensors, cabling, etc.

Experience in AC and DC Drive programming and tuning
-
Experience in safety related control systems
-
Experience in software development planning and documentation
-
Experience in version control and collaboration software tools
-
Knowledge of industrial network protocols, AS-I, INTERBUS, Control Net, Profinet, CIP and Ethernet IP
-
Experience in software testing and commissioning
-
Experience drawing, interpreting and marking up AutoCAD assemblies and schematics.
Preferred Qualifications:
-
Experience working on industrial automated laundry facilities and related equipment.

Experience in the entertainment ride and show industry
-
Familiar with IEC – 61131 using Ladder Diagram and Structured Text
-
Experience in safety control system design using safety PLCs and safety devices
-
Experience in developing risk assessments and designs using IEC/ISO functional safety standards
-
Knowledge of I/O and Supervisory Network systems
-
Knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic servo control systems
Required Education:
Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent
Preferred Education:
Masters of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent

The hiring range for this position in Lake Buena Vista, FL is $122,800.00 to $150,000.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
