About the Team

The AI Transformation & Controls (ATAC) team sits at the forefront of redefining how Walmart approaches accounting, controls, and digital compliance. As a key contributor within this organization, you will help shape the future of financial operations by driving automation, AI enablement, and data‑driven insights. Working in close partnership with Controllership, Operations, and Global Internal Controls (GIC), you will advance the Digital Accountant initiative—transforming traditional accounting activities into streamlined, technology‑powered processes that enhance accuracy, efficiency, and compliance.

What You’ll Do

• Accelerate Digital Accountant automation by identifying journal entries, reconciliations, reports, and controls primed for digitization, while embedding analytics and workflow tools to enhance auditability and operational oversight.
• Partner with Walmart Controllership and Operational Accounting to design and deploy AI‑powered automation solutions across critical accounting workflows.
• Lead, mentor, and elevate the CTS team, guiding team members in the use of automation technologies and navigating accounting and control considerations throughout the digitization lifecycle.
• Drive cross‑functional collaboration across Finance, Controllership, and Technology teams to integrate accounting processes into innovative digital workflows and enterprise automation initiatives.

What You'll Bring:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, data science, computer science, or a related field
• Demonstrated experience leading in matrixed or multinational organizational environments
• Strong project management, analytical, and communication capabilities

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with tools such as Big Query, SQL, VS Code, SAP, and Black Line
• Experience working with automation and analytics platforms
• Exposure to Vibe coding tools and methodologies
• Background in large‑scale financial transformation or digital compliance programs

The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00 - $180,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :
