The Senior Manager, Construction, oversees multiple construction projects by managing budgets, schedules, and contractor performance to ensure quality and compliance with regulations. This role collaborates with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders to address project scope, resolve issues, and maintain alignment with operational needs. The position requires strong leadership in mentoring associates, driving continuous improvement, and fostering effective communication. The team leads fast-paced projects focused on electric vehicles, depots, and automated parcel delivery systems, supporting key business objectives. They manage construction schedules, budgets, and quality standards while collaborating across departments to ensure compliance and project success. Emphasizing strategic planning, risk management, and effective communication, the team drives timely delivery and operational excellence. Members are committed to continuous improvement, problem-solving, and leadership development, fostering a results-oriented environment that aligns with company values and supports sustainable growth.
What you'll do...
- Oversee construction budgets by reviewing preconstruction estimates, tracking reports, and approving payments, change orders, and invoices to ensure financial accuracy.
- Monitor compliance with laws and regulations, enforcing performance standards and addressing noncompliance with contractors and teams.
- Manage multiple construction projects by coordinating schedules, resolving conflicts, and liaising with municipalities to ensure quality and timely delivery.
- Collaborate with facility management to align project scope and schedules, minimizing operational impact and ensuring milestone achievement.
- Supervise and develop associates through training, mentoring, performance evaluations, and fostering a collaborative team environment.
- Identify risks, develop contingency plans, and drive continuous improvement to enhance project outcomes and operational efficiency.
What you'll bring... - Extensive experience in construction management, including budget oversight and contract administration.
- Proven ability to monitor compliance with laws, regulations, and company standards throughout project lifecycles.
- Strong leadership skills with a track record of mentoring and developing high-performing teams.
- Expertise in project scheduling, risk management, and coordinating cross-functional teams to meet milestones.
- Proficiency in financial management, including budget tracking, claims resolution, and invoice approval.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities to resolve conflicts and drive project success.
- Commitment to continuous learning and applying strategic planning and design thinking principles.
- Willingness to travel up to 75% of the time.

Live Better U is a Walmart-paid education benefit program for full-time and part-time associates in Walmart and Sam's Club facilities. The annual salary range for this position is $80,000.00 - $155,000.00
Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
