What you'll do...

• Greets all customers in a polite and friendly manner.
• Processes all purchase transactions in a timely and efficient manner, including deactivation of merchandise in accordance with the EAS Program.
• Promotes company sponsor programs such as credit card services, product protection, charity initiatives, and customer surveys (NPS).
• Assists customers with bagging and loading merchandise.
• Ensures safe work practices are followed, including proper lifting techniques and maintaining a clean work area.
• Maintains register security and integrity through diligent cash handling, adherence to company policies, and awareness of surroundings.
• Refers appropriate service and transactional matters to a Customer Service Manager when required.
• Keeps the area N.C.O. and free of fixtures, unnecessary debris, foreign objects, and liquids.
• Educates customers on the correct and efficient use of self-service checkout options when applicable.
• Observes customer activity to determine when assistance is needed.
• Politely explains self-service interventions and quality checks while reassuring customers that such procedures are standard protocol.
• Demonstrates knowledge of responding to EAS alarms and completing the "Failure to Deactivate" log.
• Notifies the Customer Service Manager when self-service areas are low on cash or experiencing technical issues.
• Returns Scan & Go scanners to their designated location after use.

The minimum rate of pay for this position starts from $17.75.
