The (USA) Staff, Technology Operations role drives speed improvements across Walmart’s network, ensuring measurable impact on customer experience and business outcomes. This role partners with product, engineering, and operations teams to analyze performance, evaluate network changes, and identify opportunities to improve speed and reliability, especially during peak periods.
You will lead cross-functional initiatives using strong program management, data analysis, and financial evaluation to deliver results. Success requires effective stakeholder engagement, clear communication, and the ability to translate insights into action, driving operational excellence and supporting strategic priorities.
About the team:

Our team focuses on enhancing speed improvements and measuring their impact on customer experience and business value. As a technology operations group, we collaborate closely with product, engineering, and store and fulfillment center operations to ensure sustained performance, especially during peak periods. This role supports Walmart’s executive goals by analyzing network changes and valuing future initiatives that drive speed. The team operates with high visibility, applying program management, financial oversight, and stakeholder engagement to deliver measurable results that advance operational excellence and strategic priorities.
What you'll do:

  • Partner with product, engineering, and operations teams to identify, prioritize, and implement speed improvement initiatives across stores and fulfillment centers.
  • Analyze the impact of network and performance changes on customer experience, using data to quantify improvements in speed, reliability, and satisfaction.
  • Build financial models to evaluate the business value of current and future initiatives, ensuring alignment with Walmart’s executive priorities.
  • Collaborate with field operations teams to validate real-world impacts of speed improvements and identify additional optimization opportunities.
  • Ensure strong stakeholder alignment through regular communication, updates, and executive-ready presentations on progress and results.

What you'll bring:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights that drive business decisions.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with product, engineering, and operations teams in a fast-paced, high-visibility environment.
  • Financial acumen, with experience building business cases, forecasting impact, and evaluating ROI for large-scale initiatives.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, Tableau/Power BI) to measure performance and track key metrics.
  • Clear and concise communication skills, with the ability to present insights and recommendations to senior leadership.

The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00 - $180,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :
