We are seeking a skilled and experienced Product Designer to join the Visa Open Banking team.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in creating best-in-class user interfaces and experiences, ensuring that users enjoy a seamless and engaging journey throughout the entire product flow. This role demands a keen eye for detail, creativity, and a deep understanding of user-centered design principles to consistently deliver exceptional and intuitive user experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver outstanding user experiences to customers through initial designs and iterative updates.
  • Design from concept to implementation, considering usability, accessibility, localization, scalability, and — where relevant — crafting clear, concise interface copy that’s in line with UX writing best practices.
  • Conduct user research studies to gather qualitative and quantitative data (usability testing, user interviews, A/B testing, etc) to understand customer needs, validate design decisions, and refine user experience.
  • Collaborate effectively with diverse teams, ensuring smooth communication and high-quality design execution.
  • Ensure all deliverables align with requirements and the established design system.
  • Contribute to Visa’s Global Open Banking Platform design system in partnership with designers and developers ensuring it meets scalability, efficiency, and brand alignment requirements.
  • Engage in constructive design critique with designers and cross-disciplinary partners.

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in the office will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager. ​

Qualifications

  • Experience in product design for mobile and web platforms, with a portfolio demonstrating end-to-end design work.
  • Proven experience collaborating with cross-functional teams
  • Fluency with design systems and technical implementations
  • Ability to clearly present and explain design decisions to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong prototyping skills with a focus on clear and effective visual communication.
  • Experience or strong interest in UX Writing and content strategy, with the ability to create clear, concise, and user-focused interface copy.
  • Excellent command of visual design, UI patterns, and user-centered design principles.
  • Solid experience in user research and usability testing.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in industry-standard design tools, particularly Figma.
  • Experience in the payments or financial services industry is a plus.
  • Advanced proficiency in English.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Human–Computer Interaction, Interaction Design, User Experience, or a related field.
  • This is a temporary position for 15 months, with no extension, starting from April 2026 to July 2027.
