Job Description

The Manager, Regional Product Solutions – ANDEAN, is part of the Regional Product Solutions organization at Visa, which is responsible for expanding key solutions such as network processing and Digital Solutions via Visa Net globally. This role serves as the product subject matter expert for the Andean market, focusing on integrating business, digital, and processing solutions, while maximizing the synergy between product and processing strategies. The Manager will champion Visa’s existing processing assets, drive the strategic growth of network processing, and oversee digital solutions with a focus on authentication. Collaboration with Business Development, Merchant Sales, Acquirer, and Client Services teams is essential. The position involves both long-term and short-term planning, analysis, and execution of processing and digital initiatives.

Reporting directly to the Head of Network Product Andean, the Manager will interact with all levels of Visa management and staff, as well as key stakeholders, including banks, issuers, acquirers, processors, and vendors.

Key areas of focus include:

  • Network and Digital Commercialization, Responsibility for integration of business and Regional Product Solutions (Processing and Digital), while achieving synergies of processing and product strategies. Ability to champion existing Visa processing assets and drive strategic expansion of network processing share, while partnering with Business Development leads. The role will also include long/short term planning, analysis and execution of processing initiatives.
  • Solutions Architecture, Ensure network and digital readiness and enable infrastructure for (i) new market entry, (ii) enable new use cases. Ability to stitch capabilities together to create new processing solutions. Market engagement to deliver localized processing solutions. Active role within specific Country Mgmt. teams to bring expertise, design architecture, processing viability and solutions for market specific product deployment strategies.
  • Solution delivery and deployment, Ability to deploy processing and digital solutions via ISO based merchants, API and Web Services. Strong knowledge base of Visa Net processing infrastructure. Ensure appropriate end to end project management including the testing and implementation of new processing opportunities with clients, while partnering with Business Development, Merchant Sales and Acquirer and Client Services leads. Engage in Processing enablement activities with multiple market implications

The position will be based in Visa’s Colombia offices in Bogota.

Specific responsibilities include:

Lead the development and manage the execution of the Authentication Strategy for ANDEAN:

  • Identify key technical, operational and commercial elements to develop authentication capabilities in key ANDEAN markets.
  • Ensures synchronization of development activities with key Technical Groups. Manages key interactions with Product, Sales and Acceptance activities.
  • Ensure the country sales teams are effectively communicated to and that strategies and actions plans are understood by the relevant stakeholders.
  • Assist in the development of a authentication sales plan including relevant metrics to ensure revenue targets are understood and tracked.
  • Support the implementation and operation of the plan, with a focus on fast resolution of problems and stakeholder satisfaction.
  • Ensure activities are regularly reviewed and reported to Regional Function and Global leaders.

Manage the identification and assessment of processing trends, opportunities and threats in Andean Region:

  • Identify, qualify and quantify market specific opportunities in close cooperation with local relationship management and product teams.
  • Promote an understanding of critical success factors to achieving network processing revenue objectives.
  • Provide input into design and implementation of general marketing and promotional activities to ensure increased awareness of processing objectives and priorities.

Provide Subject Matter Expertise (SME) and manage the provisioning of education and sales support to relationship management teams.

  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of Visa’s authentication capabilities overall with specific knowledge and leadership of authentication products objectives.
  • Provide leadership to ensure training of relationship management staff with the goal of ensuring relationship management becomes self-sufficient in authentication sales and opportunity identification.
  • Provide professional advice and consultancy to relevant stakeholders covering both tactical and strategic objectives.

Conduct key stakeholder presentations, seminars and workshops.

  • Lead and deliver tailored content to articulate the capabilities and Value of Visa Net to a variety of audiences, ranging from decision makers in the respective Central Bank, Senior Management within the Client and key industry bodies.
  • Identify value added processing opportunities and highlight the commercial and performance benefits to respective customers.
  • Ensure appropriate end-to-end project management including the testing and implementation of new processing opportunities with clients.

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Business, IT, or related field, preferably in MIS, Engineering.

Master’s degree preferred.

Typically requires 3+ years experience in payment processing, including products and services, business systems and processes.

Card issuer, consumer banking, retail banking and/or other financial services experience required.

Sales experience and proven negotiation skills required.

Ability to generate organizational momentum through creative and innovative solutions to problems and opportunities.

Strong communication, interpersonal and collaboration skills to influence direction and change attitudes / decisions of senior level international bankers.

Strong project management and organizational skills.

Must be a self-starter with proven abilities in organizational, conceptual, and logical problem solving.

Customer focus with proven ability to establish productive working relationships with staff and management at all levels.

Ability to set priorities and manage customer expectations, and work both as part of a team and independently.

Excellent time management skills, with an ability to achieve goals with minimal management oversight.

Demonstrated drive and energy.

Multicultural sensitivity and interpersonal relationship management skills, including the ability to work effectively within Latin America.

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.

Fluency in English and Spanish required.
