We are looking for a passionate Product Program Lead to join our team and work within a key strategic client in New Zealand, helping them bring exceptional payment and transactional solutions to the market.

What you will be doing
The Program Lead (Product) will work closely with one of the biggest banks in New Zealand, delivering next generation experiences for Visa cardholders. Embedded at the client’s office, you will lead a team and oversee the successful delivery of a program of work that will help our client achieve their aspirations. The role would also involve building a relationship with key client stakeholders to ensure that as a team you are delivering value, executing on the product roadmap and anticipating future requirements.
With your extensive experience in product management and delivery plus your outcome-driven mindset, you will own the strategic product roadmap for Business Banking – building a view of the technical capabilities and dependencies, industry and customer trends, to prioritise what needs to get done, and work with cross-functional teams to deliver the product roadmap.
This includes
- Designing and maintaining the multi-year strategic transactional product roadmap, developing KPIs to guide prioritisation decisions that balance business value, feasibility and impact.
- Hands-on delivery of transactional product roadmap
- Managing a small team and actively supporting their growth and development.
- Ensuring cross-functional collaboration across other Product teams, Technology, and Operations and leveraging Visa expertise whenever relevant.
- Managing internal and external stakeholders and balancing competing priorities
- Designing and delivering compelling presentations to build support across teams
Qualifications
What you will bring
We look for depth and breadth of experience rather than relying on age or job titles as proxies and hire for judgment and integrity. Our ideal candidate is a confident team leader who’s is an expert in stakeholder management and comfortable navigating complex bank processes. You will have product management or development experience in cards, business transaction accounts and/or digital payments, preferably in the NZ market, and are a customer journey expert. You will be energised by developing product strategies and managing a team to deliver solutions. If you are driven by results and are customer-obsessed, we want you!
Key competencies:
- A strong background in payments, both from a product and technical perspective. Card payments preferably and other payment types will be highly regarded, as would local NZ market experience.
- Experience working with business banking products and a track record of successful hands-on delivery of projects.
- Lead on developing product strategy and customer journeys to create positive customer experiences.
- Current with industry trends. Knowledge of Visa products and services will be highly regarded.
- Expert at stakeholder management and navigating internal processes to deliver results.
- Act as the voice of the business and leading a ‘one-team’ approach to problem solving.
- Identify, articulate, and manage risk/compliance across streams of work.
- Confident collaborating across business units to manage the delivery against the product roadmap.
- Self-assured communicator and strong team player.
