Job Description
Team Summary
The Visa Acceptance Solutions Product Team is a globally distributed, innovation-driven organization responsible for designing, developing, and scaling Visa’s modular payment platform across diverse verticals and geographies. The team oversees a broad portfolio that includes payer interfaces, payment processing, shared services, cloud enablement, and post-purchase experiences, while also managing strategic initiatives like unified checkout, tokenization, and alternative payments.
What a Sr.
Product Manage does at Visa:
The Sr. Product Manager will serve as a named Product Owner on the Cross-functional initiative to implement Visa Acceptance solution’s tech stack in China. In this role, this person will be part of the Global Product Management organization.
This individual will be tasked with document the product requirements, ensuring that all requirements align with legal and regulatory mandates, document and manage the product roadmap, support product intake across portfolio teams, partner with infrastructure and engineering teams on hardware delivery and product build, product testing, customer training, legal, marketing, commercialization/go-to-market activities, and client communication.
Key Responsibilities:

Product Strategy & Roadmap

Help to define and drive ownership for the product roadmap of the China localisation Programme, aligning with Visa’s global strategy and regulatory mandates.

Translate business requirements into detailed use cases and prioritise features using agile methodologies.

Regulatory Compliance & Localisation
-
Ensure all product components meet Chinese data localisation and cybersecurity regulations.

Partner with legal, compliance, and cross functional product and technology teams to validate regulatory adherence.

Cross-Functional Leadership
-
Collaborate with product, engineering, operations, and regional business teams to deliver localisation milestones.

Act as the primary liaison for internal and external stakeholders, including regulators and strategic partners.

Execution Excellence
-
Drive business planning, cross functional backlog prioritisation, and oversee acceptance testing.

Drive continual integration with Client Support Teams to ensure commercialisation and go live activities are successful

Monitor KPIs and SLAs to ensure timely delivery and operational readiness.

Customer-Centric Design

Incorporate customer insights into product decisions to enhance usability and trust.

Support client onboarding and implementation for localised services.

Risk & Issue Management
Proactively identify risks and develop mitigation strategies for localisation dependencies.

Qualifications
What you will need:
- 8+ years’ experience as product manager, solutions consultant or product developer.
- Ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of payment and payment technology
- Fluent in both English and Mandarin language
- Proven experience in product management within payments or fintech.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Knowledge of payment and/or risk management systems and the industry is preferred.
- Strong organizational skills as well as the ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities, assignments, and roles.
- Self-motivated; able to work independently while coordinating activities with cross-divisional
teams. - Team player; able to communicate with technical and business experts at all levels of the organization.
- Bachelor’s degree is required. (Computer Science or related course is preferred.)
What will also help:
- Good understanding of the Chinese market and relationships with stakeholders in the market is preferred.
- Strong understanding of localisation projects and regulatory frameworks (China preferred).
- Experience in Agile environment is preferred.
