The LACSourcing Manager – Card Benefits Insurance is responsible for leading the strategic sourcing, supplier management, and commercial strategy for the Insurance sub‑category within Card Benefits Products across the Latin America & Caribbean (LAC) region.
This role partners closely with Product and Commercial Solutions Services teams to ensure the sourcing of insurance‑based benefits—such as travel insurance, purchase protection, and related coverage—delivers strong commercial outcomes, risk mitigation, scalability, and high‑quality cardholder experiences. The role operates within a global, matrixed organization and plays a key role in advancing Visa’s Card Benefits value proposition in LAC markets.
Key Responsibilities Category Strategy & Leadership
- Own and lead the Card Benefits Insurance sourcing strategy for LAC, aligned with regional product direction and local market needs.
- Develop and execute multi‑year category strategies to drive cost optimization, commercial value, supplier innovation, and risk management.
- Serve as the primary sourcing point of contact for Insurance‑based Card Benefits within LAC.
Stakeholder Partnership
- Partner with Regional Product and Commercial Solution teams to understand business strategy, demand drivers, and growth plans.
- Collaborate with Global Sourcing, Finance, Legal, Risk, and Compliance teams to ensure sourcing decisions meet corporate and regulatory requirements.
- Influence senior stakeholders across regions and functions within a complex, matrixed environment.
Supplier Selection, Negotiation & Contracting
- Lead supplier selection processes, including RFPs, negotiations, and contracting for insurance services supporting Card Benefits Products.
- Develop negotiation strategies that balance pricing, coverage quality, scalability, service levels, and regional and local regulatory considerations.
- Drive contract structures that support regional flexibility, performance transparency, and long‑term value.
Supplier Management & Performance
- Establish and lead supplier relationship management (SRM) for strategic insurance partners across LAC.
- Conduct regular supplier business reviews to assess performance, service quality, financial outcomes, and risk.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and address performance or compliance gaps.
Value Delivery & Governance
- Deliver and track measurable value, including savings, revenue‑enabling benefits, efficiency improvements, and risk reduction.
- Support centrally led sourcing programs across Supplier Performance Management, Risk Management, Compliance, Spend Analytics, and Supplier Diversity.
- Ensure sourcing activities align with Visa policies, controls, and audit requirements.
Leadership & Influence
- Contribute as a senior team member within Global Sourcing LAC, supporting capability building, best‑practice sharing, and cross‑category collaboration.
- Coach and guide junior sourcing team members as needed (dotted‑line or functional leadership).
This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.
Basic Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain, Insurance, or a related field. Minimum 6 years experience in strategic sourcing or category management, with proven ownership of complex, high‑value categories. Experience working with insurance providers, financial services products, or regulated service categories. Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting Card Benefits, Insurance, Financial Services, or Product‑led categories. Strong understanding of insurance commercial models, risk considerations, and service‑level structures. Experience operating in regional or global sourcing organizations, preferably with LAC market exposure. Strong negotiation, analytical, and stakeholder‑influencing skills. Fluency in English required; Spanish and/or Portuguese strongly preferred. This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for this position is 109,800.00 to 175,700.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity. Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401 (k), FSA/HSA, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, and Wellness Program.
