Job Definition (Key Purpose of the Job) :

This position provides buying strategic tactics and build all DTC retail store buying plans for CN market, covering both full price stores. This position partners with product team and local sales team, linking the Product offer with market demand to ensure the brand strategy and product strategy is properly landed in local market, and build the market-relevant, store-tailored assortment & buy to deliver the financial and business target.

Key Result Areas:

The Buying Manager, CN B&M is responsible for:

  • Identifying CN market-specific seasonal opportunities and priorities based on consumer and industry trends across product categories
  • Building the seasonal assortment and buy plans (including inline, SMU, QT, MFO, energy) to deliver the financial budget, and address on local market & consumer needs
  • Fully implementation of “one store, one tactics” approach and amplify the store segmentation for Top stores in CN. Proactively co-working with regional sales teams on assortment regionalization.
  • Close monitor in-season product launch plan, lifecyle, sell through & delivery status with XF team. Actively involved and drive actions for proper product launch landing in store and being agile in propelling STR growth
  • Supporting the development of the conceptual assortment plans by determining key product attributes and business and category/product type opportunities, fulfill the missing gap through SMU request & exclusiveness request
  • Participating actively in the Go-To-Market process and is the key contributor to voice up from business perspective
  • Enhancing close catchup with Buyers from other channels during weekly meeting, to actively learn and share different markets’ product/campaign performance trend

The position of Buying Manager, CN B&M will partner with the Product Merchant team by:

  • Smooth handover of Seasonal Range Plan from merchant to buying team, key seasonal initiatives, brand story and capsules distribution plan
  • Collaboration with Product teams to ensure the product line meets retail needs, proactivelty call out local differetnation needs
  • In season sell through and product feedback (what’s working, not working, quality, fitting, color, etc) to ensure the front line voice are reflected into next season product offers

The position of Buying Manager, CN B&M will partner with the Omni-Channel Sales team by

  • Conducting store visits and competitor analysis to gain knowledge of the industry trend and market needs.
  • Daily and weekly working with sales to share store level analysis (product mix%, territory, category opportunity) and in-dpeth analysis of reason behind, reflect the learnings into next season buy plan
  • Ensuring the team is communicating with other business functions in an efficient and effective way

Academic Qualifications:

  • Minimum Degree Held: Bachelor

  • Minimum 10-12 years or above in retail industry, 5-8 years in a supervisory role

Language Proficiency:

  • Be good at both Spoken and Written English
