What will you do?
A day in the life of a Senior Manager, E&SR Reporting at VF looks a little like this.
You will lead VF’s E&SR reporting strategy across voluntary and regulated disclosures. In this role, you’ll manage a team that collects and validates E&SR data, produces external reports and survey submissions, and builds scalable processes to meet emerging regulatory requirements (including the E.U. Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD)). You’ll collaborate closely with partners across Legal, Finance, HR, Supply Chain, and our brands to ensure reporting is accurate, consistent, and aligned to leading standards.
Let’s break down that day-in-the-life a bit more.
- Lead planning, project management and publication of VF’s regulated and voluntary E&SR reporting; ensure report content aligns to leading standards and best practices (e.g., ESRS, GRI, SASB, TCFD, UNGPRF).
- Strengthen E&SR data governance to support assurance, disclosure research, internal communications, and training.
- Oversee key external disclosures and surveys for VF and its brands (e.g., CDP Climate/Water, Corporate Human Rights Benchmark, Know The Chain, Gender Benchmark).
- Partner with Legal and Finance to build and maintain governance processes for regulated and voluntary reporting and disclosures.
- Track, analyze and improve VF performance in priority investor E&SR ratings (e.g., MSCI, ISS E&S Quality Score, Sustainalytics), including leadership reporting, analyst engagement and controversy responses.
- Oversee priority NGO, supplier, industry and media ratings (e.g., 100 Best Corporate Citizens, Fashion Transparency Index, Ethical Fashion Report).
- Build strong partnerships across Brands, Regions and Enterprise Functions (Legal, HR, Finance, Supply Chain, etc.) to align on an E&SR reporting strategy that supports VF’s business strategy and meets stakeholder, investor and regulatory expectations.
- Serve as the global subject matter expert for voluntary and regulated E&SR reporting; stay current on trends, best practices and emerging requirements.
- Monitor and interpret E&SR reporting laws and guidance; partner with internal and external counsel as needed.
- Lead global regulated reporting compliance programs, including a CSRD-aligned Double Materiality Assessment, in partnership with the E&SR Controller and VP of Ethics & Compliance.
- Lead and develop a high-performing team: hire, onboard, coach, and support performance and growth; ensure the team structure and resources meet business needs.
