Let’s talk about the role!

Are you passionate about materials, trims, fabrics, and the full product development journey?

As a Product Developer Intern, you’ll support our Designers and Product Development team in bringing the Kipling product vision to life—from concept through execution.

In this role, you’ll help create and maintain colour forms, assist in the development of trims and fabrics, and coordinate closely with our Product Supply teams in Asia to ensure feasibility, accuracy and adherence to cost targets.

Get ready to make an impact! Here’s what you’ll be responsible for joining our team as Product Developer Intern:

  • Create and update seasonal colour forms in line with design direction.
  • Enter, update and manage colour data in PLM and Teams.
  • Coordinate with Product Supply and GMS teams in Asia regarding samples, materials, timelines and follow-ups.
  • Support the development of new trims and fabrics based on designer input while ensuring cost and quality requirements are met.
  • Research and source new trims, materials and innovations together with the designer.

How you will make a difference

  • Your sourcing support and trim research will directly shape material innovation and future product direction.
  • Your coordination with our Asia partners will help keep development timelines on track and within cost targets.
  • You will contribute to smoother seasonal processes by ensuring samples, materials and information are organized and GTM-ready.
  • Your curiosity and eye for new materials will help Kipling stay ahead in fabric and trim development.

What’s in it for you

During this internship, you will become an integral part of the Kipling Product Development team and gain hands‑on exposure to the full product creation cycle. Working with Designers, Product Developers and Product Supply teams in Asia, you’ll see how ideas evolve into real products.

You will learn how materials and trims are sourced, how cost and feasibility influence decision-making, and how PLM systems and cross-functional communication tools support the development process. You’ll contribute directly to seasonal milestones and Go-To-Market readiness, all within an international brand environment that values curiosity, collaboration and creativity.

At the end of the Internship period, you can expect to have a clear understanding of the below:

  • How a global brand manages its end‑to‑end product creation process
  • How to work efficiently with PLM systems and digital collaboration tools
  • How to collaborate with international teams and deliver meaningful value to a product team
