Identifies, builds, and develops new business opportunities for Vanguard. Assists in the ongoing retention of key accounts. Develops sales skills and product knowledge. Covers smaller or less complex prospects and/or accounts under general supervision. Assists more senior sales executives and managers with larger and complex prospects and/or accounts.
Vanguard’s Be NeLux & Nordics team is expanding and is seeking an additional Sales Executive to support the continued growth of its ETF and mutual fund business.
The role will focus on the Dutch advisor and intermediated retail segments, delivering sales and marketing activity through client meetings, webinars, events, and strategic partnerships with advisor and digital wealth platforms.
As a leading ETF provider for Dutch investors, Vanguard is investing further in its local presence. This role represents an important step in strengthening the Dutch sales team. While the primary market focus is the Netherlands, the broader regional scope of the team provides opportunities for travel across Northern Europe and to Vanguard’s European offices, including London and Frankfurt.

Core Responsibilities
- Achieves established sales and retention goals through personal direction of all executive and staff level activities of the sales process.
- Supports smaller to mid-sized sales relationships within the intermediated retail space and plans for material segments under general guidance of more senior sales executives or sales managers. Achieves sales and retention goals within the spirit of Vanguard's Code of Ethics.
- Together with the team manager, develops a strategic sales plan for a specific territory and/or target client segment to efficiently identify quality new business relationships and leverage Vanguard capabilities for maximum success.
- Drives results by raising awareness of Vanguard's investment capabilities and services through targeted prospecting activities. Prospect activities may include cold calling, face-to-face meetings, targeted mailings, hosting seminars and webinars, and attendance at industry conferences.
- Develops, maintains, and broadens relationships with prospects and client organizations. Gathers thorough understanding of the philosophy and dynamics of the prospects and client organizations.
- Acts as a trusted adviser to prospects and clients and positions Vanguard products and services effectively.
- Develops knowledge of regulatory environment and ensures that Vanguard operates in compliance with applicable regulations.
- Collaborates and provides insight and direction to internal partners.
- Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Relevant experience within the financial sector required. Prior sales experience preferred.
- Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience. CFP designation appreciated.
- Does not require regulatory license and/or registration
Location
- The current office is situated in the WTC Amsterdam-Zuid. As of May 2026 the office will move to a new space in the Zuidtoren in Hoofddorp.
- The role will require mobility for client visits and events.
