Overview
The Global Marketing Engines & Experiences (GME&E) team is seeking a Creative Director, Social Art to drive connected story telling and visuals across Microsoft's commercial marketing efforts. This role brings the Microsoft brand to life through campaigns, activations, and creative assets that drive both emotional connection and business impact. As a senior member of our integrated creative team, you will concept across social, digital, and emerging platforms partnering closely with marketing, brand, product, and social leads to deliver resonate, audience-first assets that support the full customer journey. In addition, you will ensure that design quality, strategic relevance, and platform fluency are always front and center.

- Responsibilities- Lead creative development across integrated marketing campaigns — particularly for social, digital, and emerging platforms.
- Create engaging content to support always-on social presence, User Generated Content (UGC), and real time.
- Translate insights, trends, and cultural moments into breakthrough visual and editorial concepts.
- Ensure visual consistency and creative excellence for all deliverables.
- Partner with design and creative stakeholders to bring integrated concepts to life.
- Stay attuned to trends in culture, technology, and audience behavior to bring fresh thinking to every brief.
- Support long-form content, short-form storytelling, and creative concepting for big ideas.
- Participate in cross-functional writer’s rooms to drive creative excellence.
- Manage multiple workstreams in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail, deadlines, and creative quality.
- Experiment with generative AI and automation tools to enhance ideation, iteration, and content workflows.

Qualifications:
Required:
- Bachelor's Degree or Certificate in Design, Fine Arts, Visual Communications or related art field AND 4+ years' experience in art direction or a related art field working on computer games or entertainment. OR equivalent experience.
Preferred:
- 8+ years of experience directing creative for social, or integrated campaigns — ideally within a Business to Business (B2B) tech environment.
- Portfolio demonstrating editorial range, platform fluency, and creative storytelling across formats including social.
- Presentation and storytelling skills, including the ability to pitch ideas to senior stakeholders.
- Understanding of commercial audiences and how to tailor messaging to meet strategic business outcomes. Familiarity with Microsoft products and ecosystem is a plus.
- Experience working with creative teams and agencies; agency experience preferred.
- Enthusiastic, collaborative, and proactive mindset.
Art IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $119,800 - $234,700 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $158,400 - $258,000 per year.
