What you'll do:

  • Provides consultation and develops effective communications strategies and solutions that drive business outcomes, translating strategies into messaging and content for diverse audiences. Applies data and insights to inform decisions and demonstrate impact.

  • Serves as a spokesperson, proactively pursuing appropriate media opportunities while managing risk and protecting Vanguard’s reputation.

  • Advises and influences internal stakeholders, offering actionable recommendations and shaping conversations at senior levels. Connect priorities across divisions to support enterprise objectives.

  • Develops and strengthens relationships with industry analysts, influencers, journalists, industry peers, business partners and agency contacts—building out a robust internal and external network to shape narratives and secure impactful coverage.

  • Researches, writes, and assists with messaging, press releases, and other communication materials that are professional, effective, and accurate.

  • Manages complex projects independently from strategy development to execution and measurement, engaging managers for guidance and alignment. Ensure alignment with KPIs and optimize performance through collaboration with analytics teams.

  • Supports maintenance and refinement of measurement efforts, partnering with Centers of Excellence and analytics teams to enhance impact. Ensures accuracy, transparency and accountability by surfacing clear insights and progress updates to managers and business partners.

  • Mentors junior team members and contribute to team growth. Model professionalism, resilience, and discretion in all interactions.

  • Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.

Who we're looking for:

  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience required; degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or related field strongly preferred.

  • Minimum five years’ related work experience, including at least three years in communication and two years in public/media relations.

  • Experience as a spokesperson and managing media inquiries preferred.

Additional information:

This is a hybrid position based in Malvern, PA, with remote work on Mondays and Fridays and in-office collaboration Tuesday through Thursday.
